Accuracy test of sig 716i

About the optics/ scope for our sig here's a interesting contender ( watch after 11:19 ). It's basically a red dot and magnifier in single piece.
Pros
* Have true 1× magnification

* You can change from red dot to magnifier within one second i.e seamless transition from CQB to long range shooting

* Light weight (compared to red dot and magnifier setup)

* Have more eye relief about 4 inches

* Have ranging estimate reticle for windspeed etc

* It's long but again our sig provides generous amount of space to mount optics

Don't know a lot about sights so plz present your views too

No point discussing it, I don’t think army will spend on optics which are more expensive than the guns themselves, lol.

Considering CAR-816 is better than HK416 because the designers are same, and has a lot of improvements, I feel that it’s 16” variant should have been the standard issue in Indian army, as a Carbine it’s weight is high and it’s barrel length is 10.5”, IWI Arad can be a great option too, but it feels so pathetic that Army is literally wanting AK-203, damn that shit already has a 16.3” barrel plus a 2.5” long flash hider, how the hell a soldier will control and carry it? 943mm is overall length of AK-203. 880mm of a normal AK-47 as that flash hider alone is 63mm long

Accuracy test of sig 716i

In this video, Sig-716 avg. accuracy is tested to 0.5-0.75 MOA.
Best performance is acheived with 168 gr bullet.

Other than being Insas replacement, this rifle coupled with a proper scope, can easily double up as a highly accurate DMR to 600-700 m and is a good replacement for Dragunov SVD too.

We don’t know whether material quality and quality control will be the same though.

PLR is not doing any PR, nor any big orders being received, imagine you making Galils here and no one buying. Why will they continue with their barrel manufacturing plant in India when they receive very few orders.
