hitesh i was not comparing mp7 with any of those assault rifles ..i compared it with the SMGs...and coming to your AN94 eventhough it has a pinpoint accuracy ,greater range and high firing rate...but there are a bunch load of problems which diminishes all its advantages...
1) Unlike the AK-74 the AN-94 "Abakan" isn't simple at all in assembling, disassembling, and maintenance.
2)It has lower reliability in unpleasant conditions and need accurate care.
3) It is expensive to train solider to use the "Abakan", it takes long and it's maintenance itself is expensive comparing with the AK-74.
4)The rifle has quiet bad ergonomics while the pistol handle and inclined in a vertical plane magazine are uncomfortable to use.
5) The buttstock folding into the right side closes the trigger and a safety-lock when it is in folded position. This negative feature allows to fire only when the buttstock is pulled off for the right handed shooters.
6) There is no serious improvement in semiautomatic or fully-automaitc fire accuracy over Kalashnikov's design, however, and, as people say, AR is not a woodpecker, it's not designed to hit one point constantly to drill holes, so the ability to hit one point with 2 bullets is fancy but not very usefull for any practical purposes. 7.62 mm AK did just the same thing with 1 heaviar bullet.

AN94 is just a tiger in paper and firing range only....in battle fields it couldn't do any revolution...

Nikonov AN-94
The AN-94 assault rifle had been officially adopted by the Russian Army and the Ministry of Internal Affairsin 1994 as a possible replacement for the venerable Kalashnikov AK-74 series assault rifles. The AN index means "Avtomat Nikonova", or Nikonov Assault rifle. This rifle had been designed by the Gennady Nikonov, a Russian arms designer, at the IZHMASH state factories, during the late 1980s and early 1990s. This rifle, initially known as the ASN prototype, had been developed for and submitted to the Russian Army trial contest, held in the early 1990s. This contest, known under the code name "Abakan" (a small city in Russia), was intended to develop the more effective replacement for the AK-74 assault rifles. The ASN was tested among the many other prototypes and eventually won the trials, and was consequently adopted. Originally it was intended to replace most, if not all, AK-74 rifles in the Russian service, but it soon turned out that the complete replacement is impossible due to the economical (mostly) and some other reasons. At the present time the AN-94 is considered as the "professionals' choice", and isused in limited numbers by the elite forces of the Russian Army, police and Internal Affairs Ministry
