can any one identify the AKM rifle? even though sources say that it is an bulgarian make..this one is different from the bulgarion AKs used by our paramilitary forces..just look at the flash hider in the barrel tip..it is not usually found in AKMs used by paramilitaries..

Trichy assault rifle?

Some news came some while back of the Trichy assault rifle. It was of the 7.62mm class and it was dubbed to be one of the best rifles in that class, let alone the best ever developed in India. It was developed by the Tiruchi ordinance factory. What is the latest? Does this rifle even stand a chance in the Indian Army's rigid procurement program?

hope it willnot have the same fate of other products of ofb like AK7,insas bullup,kalanthak etc...Only trichi arms factory officials had said it is an excellent weapon....wait till the army trials....

instead of insas i would love to see these like stuff in kalashnikovs and Vz58s coz they are used extensively in CT ops than Insas..plus the M4s collected by Army special forces and Force one doesnt seem to have any of these attachments except some scope.. M4s with out these attachments willnot do any better...

it is not about being fan, it is about what IA want, since entire army has INSAS rifle, yeah we have few AKs to, therefore if anything is going to happen it is going to happen with INSAS first. IA want to increase their war fighting capabilities. Ofcouse babues at MOD will have final word.
