man the insas lmg is just like an assault rifle... it should be adapted for belt fed magazines if it really to be served as a machine gun....coz it empties its magazines very fast....

best part of INSAS LMG is that it is very stable and empty bullet casing are going very far from the shooter, this is good weapon.

I wish OFB should work on a new LMG based on Insas which can be belt fed also Mag, Negav can do the both..

but Negev is an imported one..i wish an lmg modelled in lines of M249 which could accept both belt fed and magazine fed ammo.....if it is multi chambered for 7.62 mm it will be superb

As long as the bullet is in head or chest..

Otherwise the its very possible..

add to what Kunal sir has said here is penetration profile of different bullets

that will give basic idea as to what happen when bullet enters body.
Now chines have come up with 6.8mm bullet, which is neither Russian 7.62 for AK or NATO 5.56mm.
It depends what you want to do, kill your enemy or do grievous hurt to him.
