LoC face-off: 6 Uri villages evacuated
Panic grips Karnah as Indo-Pak armies trade fire

Residents of around six villages along the Line of Control at Uri in Baramulla district were evacuated to safer places while panic gripped Karnah town in Kupwara district as India and Pakistan armies traded heavy fire on Thursday, a police official said.

He said the exchange of fire resulted in the damage to two residential houses belonging to Ghulam Rasool and Muneer Ahmad of Tilawari in Uri. However, there was no report of loss of life.

The evacuated residents were relocated at Government Higher Secondary school Uri.

Sub divisional police officer Javed Ahmed Shah said, “The intermittent firing between the two sides is continuing since morning. We made adequate arrangements for the safe evacuation of affected residents and all of them are safe.”

Another official said the worst affected villages along the LoC in Uri are Balkote, Silkote, Tillawari, Thajal,Churanda, Batgra and Hathlanga.

“The exchange of fire started at around 8 am and within no time its intensity increased manifold. We left our residential houses and ran for safety,” said Jamal Khan of Thajal Uri.

Panic grips Karnah

Meanwhile, panic gripped a few villages in town of Karnah in Kupwara district late this evening after India and Pakistan armies traded fire near Madayan and Toli posts close to the LoC, locals said.

Residents of Kandi and Dildar, not too far from the posts, told Greater Kashmir over phone that heavy exchange of gunfire erupted around 8:10 PM today. It created panic in the area. The firing has been going on intermittently, they added.

"I can see the large amount of flash generated by the gunfire or mortar shells being fired intermittently at Indian posts or fired in retaliation by the Indian army," said Manzoor Qureshi, resident of Kandi.

Toli post is located at a high altitude on top of a hillock and the Madayan post is not far from the LoC, an official said.

The shelling from across the LoC could badly affect life in Madayan and Charkunji villages, adjacent to the army posts involved in exchange of shelling, the official added.

Senior superintendent of police Kupwara Shamsher Hussain confirmed that intermittent exchange of shelling was on since 8 PM. "Indian army is forcefully responding to the unprovoked shelling from across the border," Hussain added.

It may be recalled Pakistani army, according to the officials, had resorted to “unprovoked firing and indiscriminate mortar shelling” targeting Bukhari post, Ragni post, Kana post, Toli post and some other posts close to LoC a day before.

A BSF soldier had wounded in Pakistan sniper fire on Tuesday had succumbed a day later.

Indian forces kill labourer in yet another LoC ceasefire violation
22 hours ago BY Staff Report

One person was martyred in unprovoked firing by the Indian troops across Line of Control in Rawalakot/Satwal Sector on Thursday.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the unprovoked ceasefire violation by the Indian troops resulted in the martyrdom of a labourer, working at a civilian crush plant, at Poonch river bank.

Meanwhile, South Asia and SAARC Director-General Dr Mohammad Faisal summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh at the Foreign Office over the incident.

The Foreign Office, while condemning the incident, said the deliberate targeting of civilian populated areas, especially children is indeed deplorable and contrary to human dignity, international human rights and humanitarian laws. Earlier, on February 15, 2018, the Indian occupation forces also deliberately targeted a school van leaving the children severely traumatised and martyring the driver. “The ceasefire violations by India are a threat to regional peace and security and may lead to a strategic miscalculation,” said the statement issued by the Foreign Office.

Dr Mohammad Faisal urged the Indian side to respect the 2003 ceasefire arrangement and investigate the incidents of ceasefire violations. He also instructed the Indian forces to respect the ceasefire, in letter and spirit and maintain peace on the LoC and the Working Boundary. He urged that the Indian side should permit UNMOGIP to play its mandated role as per the UN Security Council resolutions.

On Monday, the Pakistan Army destroyed an Indian border post that targeted and killed the minor boy. At least two Indian soldiers were also killed in the swift retaliatory attack by Pakistan armed forces.

Despite calls for restraint, India continues to indulge in ceasefire violations.

In 2018, the Indian forces have carried out more than 391 ceasefire violations along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary, resulting in the martyrdom of 16 innocent civilians and injuries to 65 others.

This unprecedented escalation in ceasefire violations by India is continuing from the year 2017 when the Indian forces committed more than 1970 ceasefire violations.

WW3 fears as India creates terrifying new island military base as MAJOR warning to China
INDIA is creating a terrifying new island military base amid escalating tensions with neighbouring Asian superpower China.
Here's some gen on this Indian naval base at Assumption Island.....

It includes both an air and naval base and is located 3,915 km (2,433 mi) south-southwest of the southern tip of India (at Kanyakumari) is their first establishment on Seychelles and is a flexible forward hub that can facilitate a range of regional strategies.

To the Indian government, Assumption Island was a prime territory for setting up a foreign military base. It is located far away from any potential threats, and is nearly uninhabited. The 7 villagers were given an option to stay on the island with restrictions or to be transferred to Astove Island, where the Indian government built 2 residential houses as per their agreement with Seychelles. By 2018, construction of all of the military buildings should be completed.

Steps like these will help India to expand it’s influence in Indian ocean and also will help to counter threat and gather intelligence.

On 27th January 2018, India and Seychelles signed an agreement which will allow India to build a naval base on Assumption Island.

Chinese hav no love lost with pakis. They r only supporting pakis when it suits them
Nope, once that Chinese were assured that their backing was not needed to let the Shitistanis off the hook, they quietly withdrew their opposition and moved to "abstention". This is because they realise that GCC and Turkey will fully back Shitistan and that FATF will most probably NOT blacklist Napakis.

So withdrawing at the last minute, they are attempting to send out a signal that they do not support terror financing.

Only somebody naive enough or fool enough will fall for the Cheeni trick. Make no mistake about it, should it come down to this that without Cheeni NO vote, Napakis WILL be blacklisted, Cheenis WILL come out all guns blazing in support of their sex doll.

Lets see if there friends help their narrative. Perhaps they'll see through the BS and still will help them. Funny how Russia is not represented. Pakistan is involving the international powers, but not considering regional neighbors like Nepal, BD or Lanka.

US. Their estranged wife.
UK. Their colonial maibaap.
China. New half girlfriend.
Turkey and Indonesia. Love for Ummah brother.
Other than these no other country would care how Paks are being roasted by Indians.

Its strange how US remains a presence despite the tense rhetoric. Seems like US is all business and no heart. Priorities are straight at least. But this proves the weakness that is LOC and Pakistan. Desperate after a beating. I don't see a reason for IA to backdown. If the middle men and sympathizers are causing problems in JK its time India answers Pakistan with the same goods in AJK. Killing jihadis isn't any good, they are a limitless resource for Pakistan. New ones are born every day. Its best to target their soldiers and uniforms, claim the victory but leave enough room for Pakistan to deny it as an option. Leaving room for Pakistan to back down instead of forcing their hand. Thats how you train a good canine. You can then throw it a biscuit when they fetch the delivery and piss on the right side of the lawn.

2 Post destroyed in 2 days..Not a bad start :biggrin2::shoot:
It is more than just two, already we have seen videos of 3 fire assaults, since yesterday. It is simply extension of area domination exercise to North of Pir Panjal, as the pressure in the south is already high.

This whole year will be hotter than 2017, taking the escalation to near war levels.

Pakistan is not a threat , the threat is the presence of China in Pak. China can easily fund them to keep India busy in Kashmir. This is what has been happening since 2015 end.
