Indian Army destroys Pakistani posts in Haji Pir and Tangdhar

At least three Pakistani soldiers have been killed in the Haji Pir and Tangdhar sector due to massive retaliatory direct fire assault by the
Indian Army along the Line of Control (LoC) in the last three days. Some Pak posts have been completely destroyed.
In the Tangdhar sector, in a direct fire assault on the Pakistani posts, our troops killed one Pakistani soldier while another was seriously injured, a government source said about the incident which took place on Feb 20.
While in the Haji Pir sector, our soldiers used rocket launchers and machine guns to target the Pakistani positions opposite the Rustom post where the enemy post fell down completely due to the impact and at least two of their troops died, they said.
Sources said that after the last two incidents, the tally of Pak army troops killed in Indian action has reached 23 within the first 52 days of the year.
Last year, the Indian troops had managed to eliminate 138 of Pak soldiers in different actions along the LoC. Army sources said Pak army has sought to adopt an aggressive strategy where they are directly targeting Indian positions.
Sources said Pakistan is likely to continue this posture till the elections in its country slated to be held around June or July this year.
Attacking Indian positions and causing casualties helps the cause of the Pakistani Army as it can maintain its macho image before its populace, while on the other side, when India retaliates and causes casualties, the dead are shown as civilians to the global audience to draw sympathy and play victim, they said.
Pakistan Army has been under tremendous pressure from the Donald Trump-led administration with several financial and military aids stopped due to its support to terrorist groups based on its soil.
Sources said the army has been given a free hand by the government, which is now taking action against terrorist launch pads and Pakistan Army posts supporting infiltration into India.
Close to 200 terrorists each are sitting on both sides of the Pir Panjal mountain ranges in Jammu and Kashmir, waiting for opportunity to sneak into India.
