Army generals blast Obama for 'weak, by-the-book' bomb attacks on ISIS which do no damage - as Russia and France wreak revenge and pummel group's Syrian capital [1/5]
Russian and French strikes (top and bottom right) come after it was revealed French jets had pounded targets in the terrorists' Syrian stronghold, including a command center and a recruitment base for jihadists. And on Tuesday, Russian president Vladimir Putin said they are working with France as 'allies' in their fight against Islamic State in Syria. His strong words come amid mounting criticism in army circles against Obama (pictured left in Manila on Tuesday), who generals accuse of sticking too firmly to a 'clean' war on ISIS which they say is ineffective and slow.

Purportedly, the US gave the intelligence for the targets in Raqqa so they knew them all the time and for two years apparently bombed random insufficient locations (except one hospital in Afghanistan) and allowed ISIL to develop for the last few years.

Obama is weak, Putin is strong, and Hollande is maybe eyeing Putin as a role model.

Why would he bomb to destroy his buddies! He just did it to save face with the rest of the world. He's done the bare minimum and what he had to do, without showing that he wants ISIS to grow and succeed. There is no other answer to his behavior and his lack of action.

France and Russia need to sideline the US. The US is part of the problem NOT the solution.

Tiredofblahblah - it is both, the US wants to destroy IS in Iraq but use IS in Syria to fight Assad. Problem is your gov have tried to play both sides of the game and lost control. Im sure the people of Paris thank your government

Don't we have some IC BMs that are soon to pass their use-by dates? It would be a shame to let them go to waste. Lets turn that desert to glass.
