And how are the Russians going to take Odessa.. ? BY wanking in memory of Odessa with all their might? . This Scott Ritter can sometimes be a clown.. He has been saying that Russians are about to show their real power soon for a year now, God knows that power will probably come out of Scott Ritter's exfart a*s
maybe boat detachment with support of missile, drone and helicopter strikes on coast?

«Росэлектроника» разработала «всевидящую» инфракрасную камеру с дальностью обнаружения до 20 км (ruselectronics.ru)

Ruselectronics has developed an "all-seeing" infrared camera with a detection range of up to 20 km

1694726530816.png

The Ruselectronics Holding of Rostec State Corporation has released the first prototypes of a universal infrared television camera capable of "seeing" tens of kilometers in all weather conditions and at any time of the day.

The new devices are part of the line of television cameras developed by the Central Research Institute "Electron" (part of "Ruselectronics") for operation in conditions of poor visibility. A number of modifications can be used in drones, ground-based surveillance systems, as part of surveillance and tracking onboard systems of various aircraft, for example, during rescue operations.

The camera operates in the near-infrared range of 0.95-1.65 μm and can be synchronized with laser illumination. The photons reflected from the detected objects are read by a special television sensor in a sealed case, inside of which there is a radiation-sensitive photocathode and an electronically sensitive matrix in a vacuum. Such know-how of the specialists of the Central Research Institute "Electron" allows you to reduce the amount of noise interference and increase the resolution of the camera.

Since the main signal that the device captures is the laser illumination received at the set time, the foreground and background of the image are suppressed. When using laser illumination, the equipment detects objects at a distance of up to 20 km and generates a high-resolution image even in complete darkness, in conditions of fog, rain, dust storms, etc. "Near-infrared cameras are in stable demand from both military and civilian customers, since such devices are indispensable for solving a whole range of tasks.

For example, our product can be used to detect people on the water during rescue operations. A SWIR camera at night allows you to observe objects an order of magnitude clearer than devices operating in the visible spectral range. And when using laser illumination, the detection range of objects in our device is 3-3.5 times greater than that of medium- and long-wave systems. Thus, our development "looks" further and "sees" better, "said Alexey Vyaznikov, General Director of the Central Research Institute "Electron".

Central Research Institute "Electron" is the leading enterprise in Russia for the development and production of photoelectronic devices, devices and cameras.

For reference the 3rd Gen FLIR promisided for the SepV4 which I think got cancelled for Abrams X uses long wave and midwave infrared detection https://asc.army.mil/web/portfolio-item/iews-third-generation-forward-looking-infrared/ this camera speaks of SWIR and near infrared which offers higher resolution capabilities that what was proposed as the 3rd gen FLIR. so I think Russia might have atleast surpassed the U.S. in infrared technology if I am reading this article right, because in 2020 sepv4s received them with 20.8km range capabilities while the russians got the same range but with a more clear resolution without weather or day and night effecting it.

This means the 20km ATGM can be supported to hit its target by
1. its drone.
2.possibly radar since sources said 100km and tracking 40 targets, some didn't believe the range so lets say 20km
3. High resolution infrared detection with laser illumination.

NOTE: they are showing a handheld infrared camera than optics based on tanks or aircrafts which might imply the tanks can have a farther range for bigger size. Armatas have been postponed for a year to receive new electronics.

Russian are fighting with about 5-7% their capacity, heck they haven't even called it a war yet. Furthermore, they will shortly have close a million or more troops ready to pounce on Ukraine and such a push can happen at any time. They can start bakhmut style meat grinders at several places up north. The Russian strategy so far is of a careful slow grind and allow Nazis to exhaust themselves till an opportunity presents itself for multi pronged large scale offensive, I could begin as early as now. I think if they need to take Odessa, they need to act now.

Ukraine is now mobilizing disabled retards like @Akim, women and teens so Ukraine is quickly running out of men. They can only survive with begging.

Minsk landing ship after Ukraine's missile attack.

Lots of fire damage on top, but most of the structure outside the deck seems ok, it may take some money and a long time, but it seems that it can be fixed, it seems like at least it could be towed if needed.

It's been a year and a half of Ukraine war, and you still talk about Russia not calling it a war, is some sort of mercy from Russia..
Russia is using all its Armour and artillery capability in the war.. It is refurbishing not just old T-72s (initially).. It is now refurbishing and fielding T-62s and T-55s now, getting weapons from Iran and ammo from North Korea [Not something to be ashamed of.. US is begging for ammo from half the countries around the world ].. Russia has shifted AD systems from Kuril islands, and also from the interior to the Ukraine theater..

Russia might call the Ukraine conflict their Mom's Bachelorette party, but it will not change the fact that it is a War being fought in Ukraine..

Russian Army and the 300k mobilized men are fully engaged in the war effort, either actively or as reserves.. Russia has been able to recruit and train another 250k this year, and Russia are pretty comfortable to sustain the current pace of attrition.. You need to remember that Russia is offering very attractive pay packages for the new recruits.. Ukraine, on the other hand is a bankrupt country that lives on handouts from the west.. so, you see Ukranians picked up and rounded up..

To take Odessa, with an invasion from the North, would probably take an initial assailt force of over half a million, and increase the rate of attrition of Russian troops by 10 times or more.. With elections next year, I don't see any such huge recruitment effort from Putin in the offing..

And leave old Akim alone dude.. :bplease:

You forgot to add that the North Korean team won the World Cup. :)
This is approximately your level of information.
5-7%. Do T-55 tanks also belong to the overall power of the Russian army?
Russian propagandists showed off the 2S31, thinking it was cool. But in fact, this showed that Putler throws everything he shoots into battle. Even small-scale self-propelled guns.

why half a million is needed when they are passing new mandates for mobilizations for grabbing students and women into this war? maybe when the next offensive is a failure, they will send kids to fight as their next mobilization law?

Boris Johnson seems a little worried about support for Ukraine if Trump gets elected for some reason since i guess today he is eligible to run without any more trials that seem like a waste of time. Maybe they can drag this on to November 2024.

A Czech Primoco One UAV was shot down for the first time in Ukraine. The UAV was shot down by MANPADS by Russian military personnel of the Bars-10 volunteer detachment over the territory of the former Kakhovka reservoir. The Primoco One UAV was developed by the Czech company Primoco UAV, the flight speed of this drone is up to 150 km/h, the time in the air is up to 15 hours, technical information about it is on the channel.

Footage of the damaged Russian large landing ship "Minsk", project 775/II, has been published; we have technical information about these ships on our channel. The ship was damaged after an attack on Sevastopol by Ukrainian Storm Shadow cruise missiles, manufactured in Great Britain; information about these missiles is also available on the channel. As you can see in the video, the ship received significant damage and it will take a long time to restore it. On the same day, the diesel submarine B-237 "Rostov-on-Don" of project 636.3 "Varshavyanka" was also damaged; it was in dry dock for repairs. It is not yet known what damage the submarine received, most likely minor since it is protected by a durable hull. Despite the severe damage to the Minsk landing ship, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that both ships would be repaired.

You want Russia to take Odessa, coming in from the North, you better ready a million man Army to even have a shot.. given that NATO [even with Trump as President] will atleast maintain their current levels of support for Ukraine if Russia goes for Odessa, since Ukraine losing Odessa f**KS up NATO position in the Black sea.. and exposes NATO eastern flank to more sustained long term Russian military pressure, necessitating a much larger US military presence in Eastern Europe.. Such a scenario would be exponentially costlier for America, than throwing 50 billion a year at Ukraine to sustain the war..

I think the chances of taking Odessa have increased because of the huge number of losses in this failed suicide mission. Transnistria will play a role in taking Odessa. Odessa is the key to victory, and it's a threat to Russia's black sea fleet. The only question for me is when it will happen. It could happen in a few months, if it's a really cold winter. Since Ukraine's counter offensive was such a colossal failure, there is a good chance weapon shipments will be reduced. As stupid as Zelensky is, even he admitted he's starting to wake up and smell the coffee.

As Gandhi and Nehru demonstrate all too well, belonging to a religion doesn't mean you can't be hostile and an enemy for that religion.
He is not hostile, but he is a Christian.
In Europe, no one has been tense about religion for a long time. Pray at least to the frying pan - it's your decision. Personally, I am against Hasidim in Uman. Firstly, it is unsafe and then let them, like Indian students, go to complete their studies in Russia.

If Russia plans a move on Odessa, NATO weapon shipments to Ukraine will increase.. NATO cannot afford to lose Odessa..
Transinitria is more vulnerable to Ukranian invasion, than it being a real threat to Ukraine.. Transitria might have mattered if Russia had captured Mykolaiv in March 2022, when it could have played a role to cut off Odessa.. Now, with all Surprise gone.. Russia losing Transitria is more probable than Ukraine losing Odessa..
