Yeah, we'll also kill a couple of BGB under a misunderstanding, and then diffuse the situation.BSF Jawan's Killing a 'Misunderstanding', Will Talk to Amit Shah, Says Bangladesh Home Minister
https://www.news18.com/news/india/b...ah-says-bangladesh-home-minister-2351791.html
We have failed BSF and the country as a whole ... It is clear that BGB is at fault and they started the firing inspite of the orange flag to show intent for a flag meeting between forces for the release of the fisherman ...BC Bangladeshi ab hamare jawano ko maarne ka baad celebrate kr rhe hai or yeh FIR likwa rha hai in bc Bangladeshi ka visa band kro
Don't invoke another fool when we had Gandhi already. Fools who think the pen is mightier than the sword actually had never faced the barrel of AK-47.Hey, I understand your emotions. Irking for revenge when you have a dagger stabbed in your back is completely normal. But acting without thinking about consequences is immaturity, which our dear western neighbour suffer dearly.
Ask yourself -
To your suggestion -
- Is it worth it to start a war for an unfortunate incident? (Yeah, even if it was intentional, BGB do not support it, it was the mischief of the local commander).
- Is it worth it to make another Islamic trigger-happy enemy, having a large number of uneducated and extremist population and sharing a large unmonitored border with us?
We will be seen as invaders and bullies. Already Kashmir situation hot, this is not a good move.
Pakistan will keep on being, well, Pakistan. China won't care. However, our other smaller neighbors, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and Sri Lanka will start to fear India, along with a latent fear that they, too will be annexed next time, making them cozying up (more) with China (Profit !) and avoiding India.
“The greatest victory is that which requires no battle.”
― Sun Tzu, The Art of War
People on this forum are too trigger happy and think world politics is Age of Empires. Don't we have enough enemies on all sides that we need to make another one?
Yeah, the incident is unfortunate, and I bet heavily that it was indeed a misunderstanding. Even if it was a trigger happy BGB commander, do we need to prove the whole Bangladesh and world that we have the bigger dick? Punish Bangladesh and become belligerent in local people's opinion?
You know, if we take revenge as many members are voicing here, who will have the upper hand? India will be the loser. China and Pakistan will have the upper hand and laughing at the foolishness of India.
Rather, force them to make a formal apology by BGB chief, or maybe their external affairs ministers. Force BGB to court marshall the miscreants and give them a strict sentence equivalent to intentional franticide.
As I mentioned earlier, the tactical option will cause a cycle of violence in the short term, but in the intermediate- and long-term, it will make those rakibool monkeys fear/respect the BSF, and more importantly, teach them the hard way what not to do in a flag-meeting. This is a more sustainable solution. There are two scenarios ,
1. If India decides to kill a few ,then ball will be in bangladeshis court ,either it will settle down after a period or whole of indo -bangla border will become active which will cause problems to us initially but in long run smuggling activities will come drastically down and we will shoot the illegal smugglers.
Retaliation is not an option anymore. At least not a good one. As for the fact that we have failed bsf, we we failed hell lot of our institutions for political goals. Agree with you there. We have failed BSF and the country as a whole ... It is clear that BGB is at fault and they started the firing inspite of the orange flag to show intent for a flag meeting between forces for the release of the fisherman ...
Now it should be we Indian be in offensive rather for some strange reason we kept quite and the national news papers have started giving Bangladeshi perspective without verifying the actual events that happened ...
Bangladeshis are very clever and cunning now they want to defuse the situation with sweet talks ...
Just like Bangladeshis were celebrating when India lost in the just concluded semi Final of cricket World cup in England ... Now also they are celebrating the killing of BSF Jawan as a victory ...
India have to retaliate and sent the dead bodies of BGD and Bangladesh to show their nation what will happen if you you do these types of badmashis ... Mind it ... irrespective of good relationship with Hasina ...
I may sound like a war mongerer but it is essential
Sorry Brother, I have to agree to disagree with you.Retaliation is not an option anymore. At least not a good one. As for the fact that we have failed bsf, we we failed hell lot of our institutions for political goals. Agree with you there.
Now let them come for Flag meeting.Border Security Force troopers apprehended three smugglers and nine intruders
This is it. Amit Shah is going for the tactical option. Throughout the border India will maintain an aggressive stance, and keep them guessing. At a place and time they least expect, we will hit BGB.3 smugglers, 9 intruders held at Bangla border

Now let them come for Flag meeting.
That BSF guy was shown in the Nat Geo documentary on BSF.Do you know about inertia in physics? Well there is very high inertia against acting against banglabros. You should know how bad things are when a bsf jawan was suspended and arrested for shooting an illegal immigrant.
Now there was a small window during that incident that we could have disproportionately retaliated and then descalated the matter but unfortunately that didn't happen because the decision maker realised that the entire might of state will come down on him .
On the surface we have good relations with Bangladesh. If we initiate military action now after 2 days of kvetching to avenge an "accident" know how will this look .
We can always covertly do things but then it will be kind of pointless. Bodycount is something that hasn't really mattered to mudslimes.
The best way to go is pressure hasina to initiate action against the perpetrator. If we had a half competent information warfare ministry, a bunch of reports or articles at world news orgs would have popped up by now.
If doing their routine job is the tactical option then i greatly worry about the security of this country. This is it. Amit Shah is going for the tactical option. Throughout the border India will maintain an aggressive stance, and keep them guessing. At a place and time they least expect, we will hit BGB.
BSF has a large stock of AMRs and ace marksmen. Ideally the unit mates of the BSF martyr will be given the opportunity to take revenge.
After the revenge Amit Shah will dial his Bangladeshi counterpart to talk peace. This is his MO.
Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy ..............................Later, the minister will reach BSF Frontiers headquarters at Patgaon, Guwahati and celebrate Diwali with the BSF jawans.
I think it was a planned hit by *enemy* to see how willing we will be to escalate on two fronts. That BSF guy was shown in the Nat Geo documentary on BSF.
I read it too, their propaganda poster of "we don't serve tea". These Muslims don't want development and jobs, they have thirst for blood and violence. Seems like lungis are bored of consistent GDP growth and peace. They are asking for bankruptcy and failed state like Pakistan.BC Bangladeshi ab hamare jawano ko maarne ka baad celebrate kr rhe hai or yeh FIR likwa rha hai in bc Bangladeshi ka visa band kro
Our neighbors were in romance with Chinese and now they are realizing China is one beautiful, gorgeous woman with aids. After few victories on international forum now we rely mostly on diplomatic powers. We are soft power and tit for tat reply does not suit us. That can be an example of dhimmi ideology.
Look example of Nepal and Maldives . In Maldives we got successful but only after changing their government. They told us to lift out chopper, exile our backed high persons. In Nepal we still not able to achieve what we needed. They given less constituency to lower Himalayan people which are close to us. We protested, blocked them and failed miserably
We as a giant nation never fully influenced our neighbours for longer periods. Soft power projection is not solution of everything , sometimes nation have to stand up and should do little and impactful to leave a mark.
These incidents will keep happening. We might be looking for some diplomatic channel. If Ms Hasina is so favourable to us then why BGB not understand this, are they operating on their own. They do have separate economy and source of income, and if it so then they needed a lesson. I am afraid of growing confidence of these small group (which works against their national alignment). We must leave a deep mark which should be remembered for ages
We have to deal with them on a language they understand ... Few BGB kills will bring them down to earth ...I read it too, their propaganda poster of "we don't serve tea". These Muslims don't want development and jobs, they have thirst for blood and violence. Seems like lungis are bored of consistent GDP growth and peace. They are asking for bankruptcy and failed state like Pakistan.
Well we can't be an obstacle to their dreams. RSS and BJP aren't pushing for akhand Bharat like these Muslims are pushing for.
Lungis should be ready to spread their legs. Their nagin dance may come to rude halt sooner. Plus this will ease job of NRC and halt corruption at border.
