GoI is of the opinion (misconception) that Meiteis of Manipur wants Armed forces to kill all the Kukis of Manipur on their behalf.

Assam Rifles not taking adequate action is out of pressure from GoI.

Iam not seeing any reconcillation between the two communities. That train has long left the station.

Some immediate solutions of mine:

* Bifurcate the state between Hill areas Kukis and Plain areas Meities.
* Revoke ST status of Kukis.
* Destroy all the Opium plantations of the Kukis in the Hills.


The relationship between Manipur Meities and Manipur Kukis are broken forever. I see this as a larger part of a conspiracy by vested interests based out of India.

Iam not seeing any reconcillation between the two communities. That train has long left the station. True, it will take a generation to reconcile if peace where to start tomorrow, wounds are too deep on both sides.

Some immediate solutions of mine:

* Bifurcate the state between Hill areas Kukis and Plain areas Meities. Not possible, then it will be a victory for Kuki, and in the long run get their own state. Meitei wants to settle anywhere in the state as it is one of the original inhabitants of the state. Crux of the problem was Kuki claiming hills to be theirs and no one should settle other than them.
* Revoke ST status of Kukis. Can't remove ST from Kukis in general as some were inhabitants of the state before the merger with the Union of India, but some sub-tribes can.
* Destroy all the Opium plantations of the Kukis in the Hills. It would be a Herculean task, and state machinery doesn't have the machine, money, or manpower to do it, and needs central initiative in a BIG way.


The relationship between Manipur Meities and Manipur Kukis are broken forever. I see this as a larger part of a conspiracy by vested interests based out of India. Kuki are nomadic in nature hence they have clashes with other tribes earlier as well including Naga with more than 1000+ killed. Vested interests possible like the Chinese but they don't act openly so their operation is to create a conflict zone here to drain the resources of the Indian Military.
