I don't think that the Gora Sahibs or the Foreign Media are big factors. NE has always been like this, tribal and clan conflicts are normal. The GoI's strategy has always been to play the role of a peacemaker and a stabilizing force, and current strategy is just a continuation. You got it wrong, they see global media + gora sahib support of Cookies and THAT is why they do not want to apply the stick, to prevent more Human Rights randi rona and chance for goora sahib to scuttle investments, trade deals or defense purchases like that GE Jet Engine.
So they don't care if a few Meteis die here and there.
What is happening now is it's causing an antagonistic relationship between GoI and Metei, they feel GoI is hand in glove with cookies and eventually they too will take matters into their own hands and spawn another secessionist rebel group that hates both the GoI and Cookies.
OTOH the Cookies will get emboldened by this pusillanimous behavior by GoI and increase the unga bunga to pro plus max levels.
It is then when shit hits the fan that GoI will have to find it's lost balls and intervene, and tank whatever human rights and gora sahib threats come it's way, because otherwise we lose control of most of the territory of Manipur state.
This is the future chronology, hopefully the guy who tells others to "understand the chronology" also gets this
Switching into the "Hard Power" mode is not that difficult, however it will only be used if the Indian State's supremacy is threatened. That situation doesn't exist right now.
