Kuki tribals came over from Myannmar side including your insurgent groups, some directly crossed over as "refugees", giving heartburn to Manipur govt, and were detained, some were given open borders and red-carpet by Mizoram govt, since Mizo and Kuki are related tribes.

The already existing Kuki folks in Manipur are a minority along with the Nagas and live in the hill areas( 90% of state's land area ), Metei's live in the Imphal valley.

I guess the scheme here is to start a Kuki insurgency with the stated demand as a seperate country of Cookie-stan or whatever, but the actual play is to negotiate into getting a seperate Kuki state being carved out of Manipur.

TLDR this is an imported unga-bunga problem, I doubt the local/native Cookies would like to start some shit in which they will get smacked in response.

Govt should cleanse the state of the imported Cookies and drive them back into Myannmar, otherwise Meteis will run their own insurgency, and Govt will have to play police, mediator etc, too messy

So if I understand correctly, Kukis are divided among themselves, and they don't have a strong reason or motivation to fight for independence/a separate state. Since they are well-integrated into the Indian govt. and community this will further stop them from turning this into a bloody insurgency like Kashmir.

Their demand for a separate state is really unlikely unless they capture a part of Myanmar and declare it theirs, which we will be happy to accept as part of India.

No, they are united but also they coerced others to join their clan and make a bigger union. They have dropped the independence movement and more for a separate state or Autonomous council. It will not be like Kashmir as their goal concept of armed struggle is different. The blessing on their side is they have strong relations with their clan in Myanmar and they can go in and out at ease. And there is huge poppy nexus as well. It is known facts and proof that a huge part of Manipur Hills is used by them to grow poppy and most syndicates are you know linked with militants.

So Meiteis armed themselves, either by looting police stations, (some claim police handed them guns), or acquiring via illegal routes. There is apparently a Meitei militant group as well (not confirmed). So now Kukis are on the back foot and Meteis are coming down on Kukis heavily with weapons and arms. Kukis are accusing state & CM of Manipur for facilitating the attacks on Kukis by state police.

This is going down pretty ugly actually. We need to heavily deploy the army and CRPF and completely lock down the state for a year or two.

Global narratives are utter bullshit, they try to paint as you said far from reality. Firstly they stick to only court orders no dig up of the story and are more inclined towards Kuki as they feel Meitei are the majority and Hindu so must be bad guys as Both state and federal are controlled by right-wing blah blah. I said many times before here they keep changing their narratives and now sticking to their separate state demand. Meitei militants are utterly quiet in these matters as they know they are not in suspension of operation and if involved can escalate quickly. So, the Kuki are going full bravado and I bet in no time it all will be clap and their cause will go in vain. Gun is no problem in Manipur, if you have the money you can buy just about any gun from the world, don't be surprised if you see FN SCAR type rifles in the future.

India-Myanmar border is porous (super mountainous, super forested, similar ethnic groups on both side, similar to Pak-Afghan border). Many north-east ethnic groups have their own militias and all their training camps are located across the border. Also, there is massive drug trafficking.
