Actually 19000 pounds stands upto 84.5kN thrust...The F404-IN-20 engine has generated more than 19,000 pounds (85 kN) uninstalled thrust

They have guns (atleast Sp-21) but at prototype stage. Tweakings will go on until successful firing-trial in the air.Proud moment indeed.
Is the FOC version with gun or without gun?
ATAGS can't be used along the chinese border. Its too heavy for that. What is needed are MGS and more ULHs.God MoD pls sign the 83mk1a deal soon. And also atags and keep some in Chinese borders.
Whatever artillery. Just keep some. I have a feeling that if Chinese attack in the future it will be Ladakh, as it has better infra there, strategically securing CPEC is more important than Arunachal which has more dangerous mountains than Ladakh region.ATAGS can't be used along the chinese border. Its not shortage of money. Military wants an Attack Helicopter with its full weapon package especially the ATGMs. Rudra was inducted into the service 2013 but was only able to use its guns till recently. Only in 2019 they signed the deal for rockets with Thales.LCH can be employed. But mod is again sitting on 15 IoC aircraft while another 115 is to be signed. They don't have the budget. Pinaka can be employed too. We have infantry and tanks. But that alone isn't enough.
...And it is 18 ton only, with all the parts. That's lighter than even the troop carrying trucks passing though the Himalayan roads.ATAGS can't be used along the chinese border. Its too heavy for that.
LCH is a actually genuinely underprepared. Unless SANT achieves operational clearance, you can't really pressure the IAF to place orders. It would be prudent, getting them now to late induction the missiles... but look at how much shit Kamorta or Kalvari gets for being toothless for the time being.LCH can be employed. Very correct. After all we our brillian scientist have worked hard on Tejas. It is bound be very good. It will kick the back side of junk around our neighborhood.
Bdw still some says Tejas ioc is not deployable at forward bases
16+3 = 19So, what's the exact number built for Tejas?
True and it can be air dropped in dissembled form by both Chinook and mi26 of IAF .Off topic

They managed to deploy T-90s in Ladakh by taking it via roadways.
So please refrain from saying stuff before thinking & helping dalals spread misinformation, deliberately or otherwise.

That's just handing over narrative to the pimps.
Don't forget the 8 pv and 8 lsp . Specially since lsp are doing most of the testing for mk1a form uttam aesa to Astra bvr integration ! !16+3 = 19
IOC+FOC

Once it gets Astra it will be shoot down paki f16 while remaining safely outrange of aim120.Tejas is excellent in ground attack , with small RCS and excellent handling & safety records. In terrain hugging mode Tejas will be handy in Himalayas
Well if MoD is stalling then what's the minister doing? Sadly we have DM with no understanding of technicality who only thinks in terms of money and cost savings. Its not shortage of money. https://www.livefistdefence.com/201...ging-the-arming-of-indias-rudra-choppers.html Helina is still not operational. So, Unless these issues are resolved full fledged production of LCH will not commence.
Nope. Noted long time ago.Elevating canopy was the part of aerodynamic improvement. Cabin seems upped by few inches. Am i seeing it right or is it my mistake?
