IAF finds utility Of GUN on aircraft quite low so they were not much bothered about Gun.
Land test of the gun was done but not in the air.

Then the mk1 a should be able to carry 6 AAMs for greater combat persistence. After all, it has 8 hardpoints and if one carries the EW pod and the other carries a fuel tank then remaining 6 can carry AAMs for air superiority mission .

It is able to carry 2 ccm and 4 bvr with centreline fuel tank easily.
Once dual pylon for bvr for mwf are ready they will come to lca too.

So it might carry more. But 6 aam are more than enough considering endurance of lca.

Now iaf should immediately increase the order size of 83 mk1a to 123 mk1a. 40 more jets can easily be build by 2028.

IAF wanted 126 mmrca. Just order 36 more rafales and 20 more su30mki to keep the line running.

That way you have 72 rafale+ 40 lca mk1a ( over 83) + 20 su30== 132 brand new jets.

At cheap too . Next 36 will come within 5 billion as infrastructure and indian specs are paid for.
40 more mk1a will cost 2.5 billion at most could be less. 20 more su30 will be 1.2 billion.

Under 9 billion all will be done.

Lca mk1a will come with derby ER as it's already mated with elta 2052. ( Already operational for Columbian kfir jets.)
Mk1a will beat even upgraded f16 with aesa+ derby ER and low rcs combo. It's a pocket destroyer .

Get derby ER for su30 too and we have a very potent airforce.

Otherwise Astra mk2 will anyway come for su30 in 2-3 years.

Once mwf is ready switch both mk1a and su30mki lines to mwf and build 30 mwf per year.

Please don't make the page even worse and create undue strain for others to clean it up. Please learn the licensing before uploading images at wiki.

Yeah, edits I can mamage... but the publicly released images on socisl media, copied thousands of times are slapped too. Surprisingly the ORCA image, though very similar was ignored.
The line-drawings are fully my work though. How do i get those uploaded as mine? You wanna do it? Upload than as yours. I don't give a shit.

I wonder why Deb Rana or AK don't bother to get some copies on wikimedia commons!

This is the high time for replacing older MIG-21 fleet. Nothing is perfect in this universe, therefore, upgradation must be continued with induction of more and more Tejas. Simultaneously, MK1A, AMCA and MWF, whatsoever, must be evolved. The indigenous weaponry must be inducted, the shortcomings should be taken care of with continue upgradation in a phased manner.

Nobody can do that unless images are publicly released by govt agency or freely available under CC-BY-SA or CC-BY license or your own work. All other images will get deleted unless you have written permission from the original author.

Wikipedia is an open free knowledge source based on free material. For everything else you can't blame them for deleting - what if the original user send them legal copyright for misusing their image? using image on forum and wiki are too different thing - wiki has to deal with legality while a forum doesn't.

So please don't upload image , even I want to upload good images but they are hardly available under relevant sources. I even asked anantha to release some images under CC-BY but he didn't so I didn't bother him much.

Debrana is a pro photographer and get paid for his work why would he release images for free? Same for ananth. The line drawing seems to be edited from the original work and not necessarily completely original thus the deletion.

The gun is not ready. It is one of the concessions given by IAF for Tejas foc.

I'm not blaming anybody for anything.

My question is if I am the original auther of something I created how do I get it on Wikipedia commons (the line drawing i made tracing the front-side-top views... by that logic all such images all over wiki are derivatives)?
The ORCA image got accepted, so what got right there?

That's exactly, what I am disputing. LCA now has same range and payload as Mirage inspite of being smaller as it consumes less fuel.


LCA Engine is 89kn compared to 95kn of Mirage. Fuel Efficiency of LCA engine is 15% better. So LCA is almost as powerful as Mirage while being substantially smaller & lighter.

LCA engine produces 84kN thrust at optimal condition,nothing more than that...
