4 of 16 FOC Tejas needs to be delivered before end of fiscal year 2019-20.

First 4 (SP-21 to 24) will be probably be delivered together, or by twos in short interval. Last time we saw them in September they were being fitted at jigs, slated to fly in November. The labour strike caused a 3-4week delay. They were to deliver 12 FOC Tejas in 2020-21, so there'll be no overall delay. Defence Decode said SP-33 & 34 are on assembly.
However, after that the line will sit idle for another year or only have to deliver 8 trainer-version Tejas... thus any expansion of production capacity to 24 will apply only to the 83 Mark1A batch.

Mark1A order is yet to be signed until Defexpo-2020 (April), meaning delivery will start only by 2021. Lead time for production has been claimed to be cut from from 12-18 months to 8. IAF still owes HAL ₹20,000 crores. I doubt they have the resources to start production before the order is placed, like they did with LCH.
Is Gun integrated in FOC yet? Have the aerial firing trials been done?

Most likely the 8 trainer versions will be delivered in 2021... Following which, due to no extension of a FOC orders, all part of the line many sit idle at some point of time for upto 1 year.
People here are forgetting one thing and that is 18 LCA trainers which are to delivered in foc version. 8 for the previous 40 order and 10 with the 83 order. This will keep the lines occupied till mid 2022 after which mk1a versions will move to jigs 73 of these will be made after which the lines will move to MWF by 2028....:)

Those trainers aren't separate from the order numbers. 8 trainers are included in order of 40 aircraft ( 16 IOC + 16 FOC + 8 trainers (ASR not frozen)).
Similarly 10 trainers are part of 83 Mk1a.
(73+10)

Still it means there won't be any expansion of production line capacity.
If they deliver 16 FOC in 2020 (4 left from this FY & remaing 12) & 16 trainers in 2021, with remaining 2 before March 2022.... Yeah, that actually adds up!

Trainer ASR hasn't been ready yet (or already not publicly known), the Bangalore based models being just LSPs.
So it is most likely going to be a version of its own, not FOC nor Mark1A.

Nothing on it. Vibration mitigation is actually very complicated, maybe impossible, in which case they'll have to replace the gun with another. It'll take time, but the thing is an external pod anyway. That's why it could be delinked from FOC.

Does anyone has a bonafide comparison of elbit 2052 aesa & uttam aesa ranges & characteristics... & Also with inclusion of uttam aesa... Now will it be possible to mate meteor missiles with uttam aesa..?? as earlier mbda folks were reluctant to include meteor with Israeli radar.. however they were ok with indigenous AESA..

I think Defence Decode on Youtube has done that comparison. You can look it up.

Anything about integration of meteor with uttam aesa?? IAF was very enthusiastic about mating meteor to tejas.. if not for elbit radar which terminated the possibilities.

First batch is coming with Elta-2032 radar, meaning it can't have any French missile tech integrated to it.. Later ones maybe.

We may like to spin things for our satisfaction but first LCA MKIA will roll out only about 5 years of the order being given.

For Instance first Engines will take 4 years, Radars 3 years to be delivered + 1 year for assembly.

Currently around 18-19 jets all in IOC configuration.

Gun test trials remain and many others remain.

Production rate honestly is not set since HAL isn't getting new orders they are delaying production to keep the line busy.
