Where did you come across the number 20-22?We are going to manufacture 83 LCA MK1A then why ordering only 20 or 22 units of each system?

Looks like the order is released in staggered manner. Please follow the link
LCA TEJAS MK1 & MK1A: News and Discussion
Just look at the number of birds in the area as the Tejas approaches at low altitude..this is my biggest fear- a bird hit at low altitude. Many regions are extremely dangerous due to the presence of abbatoirs that attract large birds like kites and vultures.defenceforumindia.com
It doesn't happen like that. They can identify multiple birds and share data with different radars operational to identify enemy position. The Wolfpack : Su30 MKI + Rafale + Tejas = Surprise MF
Data Is secondary, logic and common sense are still number one.
Little confusion about UTTAM and its variants ( currently ).
UTTAM mk1:- This is a TD only for testing. Has low TR modules. One can put it into production but will not be suitable or adequate when Tejas can use AESA with higher TRMs. Hence, LRDE came with UTTAM mk2. This is not a mistake but a process to develop a product.
UTTAM mk2:- This is a production variant that will have more refined software and compact TR modules. This ultimately will go into Tejas Mk 1a, Mk2, and Su-30mki ( upscaled version ) or even somewhere into Tejas Mk1.
Both above versions are based on GaAs.
UTTAM mk3: This will be a GaN-based high-end AESA Radar, which will be developed by 2028-30 and incorporated with AMCA and subsequently in Tejas, Su-30mki, or even IAF darling " The Jaguar "
only Difference btw GAN is power output savingData Is secondary, logic and common sense are still number one.
Not exactly ,type of radiating elements , and GaN provide better resolution tooonly Difference btw GAN is power output saving
And more efficiency
Rafale F3R is GAas based radars
99 % of the fighter in NATO has GAas AESA
What good is we atleast are now at par with west on
Radars avionics
Only Turbofan technology left
How Turbofan technology related to radar ?only Difference btw GAN is power output saving

To aviation sectorHow Turbofan technology related to radar ?
Well he is talking about the aerospace ecosystem as a wholeHow Turbofan technology related to radar ?
I am.saying operational Gan aircrafts are still 5 years awayNot exactly ,type of radiating elements , and GaN provide better resolution too
GlobalEye AEW&C uses GaN, & 28 April 2020 SAAB reported that it had test flown an GaN based AESA of the PS-05/A radar family.I am.saying operational Gan aircrafts are still 5 years away
Most aircraft which operationally available are GAas
It happens exactly like that. RCS of Tejas and Rafale are minuscule (< 1m2) compared to MKI. EW radars can pick them up from long range but won't be able to identify the number of bogies due to low-resolution factor, X-band or FCR is needed to differentiate between targets (MKI and Rafale/Tejas), but they have poor range. It doesn't happen like that. Varna ek flanker ke peeche Tejas ki ladi lagado Diwali dhamaka
I believe we're waiting on the Tejas Mk1A and the upcoming Tejas Mk2 now.Has HAL stopped manufacturing fighter jets? I haven't seen/heard of a single Tejas being given to IAF in a while.
They can pick up Sukhoi from long range yes...It happens exactly like that. RCS of Tejas and Rafale are minuscule (< 1m2) compared to MKI. So basically, depending on radar quality, this formation can sneak up without revealing the type and number of aircraft maybe even up to 50kms easily.
