Please check official sources ! Our journos dont know the difference between AESA and PESA..so dont take their word for it. See if you can find official source. If its 15KG then yes weight reduction will also happen
It will be around that.. western OBOGS are similar in weight.

Main advantage will be ground and logistics supports flight safety and avoidance of fire and explosion hazard.

But I guess there will be another cylinder smaller one for safety in case the system fails as observed in F-35. This could be oxygen kept in spare by the OBOGS itself . So overall weight may be around 50-100 kg.

Two Lox cylinders actually. One for Back-up and another one for emergency.

No. The older deal has larger number of spares and longer maintenance. But this is more streamlined in terms of that but still much better than russian/western deals.

Tail number is when 5021 and the modified canopy of FOC but that box behind the pilot isn't there.


I think they just removed that cover during first flight and that is how it always look internally.
The cover is in the canopy itself. when canopy is closed it covers those structures.

Can somebody re-verify the above math.
Why is it so pricey.........
Engine Radar MB ejector seat many component in ew are imported one. Weapons systems will be Derby ER and ASRAAM so the operational cost (with weapon) will be high too until Astra mk2 And it's IR version kick in.

You are overestimating.
₹39,000 (reduced from 45k by reducing the immediate spare & support structure requirement) crores for 83 Mark1A. So flyaway jets would make up for ₹30-35k crores of that.

Price could be lower though. @Flying Dagger answered it already.

Not really.

30000 to 35000Cr ÷83= ₹361 to 421crore per unit for Mark1A jet.
That makes it between $48 to 56 million apiece.

I am wrong but could you compare LCA price with JF-17. Ultimately the assembly line has to be kept busy for 10 years with external orders.

Google what Nigeria is paying for 6 Jf-17 & do the math. Price for these stuff vary widely. At ±$50mil Tejas is very reasonably priced for what it brings to the table.

Please keep that obsession with that junk fighter in another forum or thread meant for it.

With 320+ order in line do we really need to depend on external orders if it comes good if not that's fine too.

That's a very reasonable price , good things don't come cheap .

And why the fuck anybody wants to compare the bander with LCA ?

You don't compare a 3 rd gen aircraft with a 4 th gen aircraft

Stop this infatuation with porky bander and porkies in general .
