You fail to understand that now this has jepordized BJP further and if they do not give any logical explanation then deal will be at the risk of being cancelled... If congress wins the election they will outright cancel this deal saying it was not clean deal after all.... Elections are coming this month and Rafales are arriving in September... New Govt will have plenty of time in hand to cancel this deal before first jet lands in India.... Sad reality of India....

Im not any dalal... Im just worried indian.... Now france trained Pak pilots on Rafales after an year india signed the deal this news alone is enough to cancel this deal at all.... I think we should close this thread as now no way this great fighter is becoming the part of iaf....

Chidambaram has said if Congress wins they will buy more Rafales at lower prices - now we all know what he meant by that ..
In any case Rafales will be bought - politically impossible to cancel it now - whether more will be bought or not is still up in the air.

Unfortunately, Foreign Policy too talks. India and France(despite being NATO) have independent foreign policy, which demands the two countries to work closer considering their interests in the region. And the strategic relationship is bound to grow. Pak supports IP theft. No way u r gonna have better relations with French. Not even if u become a $2 trillion economy(which u won't).

Instead of whining here, Pak shd think why they couldn't buy 8 F16s without Unkil's bheek. Then u can talk abt money, Two engine fighters etc.

i said above that money is a big problem.we really want two engines jet but can't afford right now because of economy.we also tested chinese copy of su-30.we have our focus on project azm now.rafale is a good fighter.i like eurofighter typhoon as well.

I know that Pakistanis have tested Rafales. But Pakistanis testing SU30 is fake news as China is not allowed to give away Russian items to others. China may have given a joyride on Su30 but would never expose its details as it violates agreement with Russia.

About Rafales, India will have its own modifications. In all likelihood, Indian rafales to be made in 114 MMRC tender will have Indian avionics, UTTAm radar and Kaveri engine. It makes little sense to worry about Rafale being known to Qatar, PAF etc

Flying a plane does not really mean that one knows everything of it. During air shows. many top people fly some top planes, like potential buyers, or dignitaries. but that does not mean that they know everything about it.
Also though Qatar Rafales might be similar to IAF Rafales, there are many India specific enhancements that are in Rafale that will be the difference between Indian and French and Qatar Rafales.
Also its not just the plane, but each country develops their own specific tactics to use the abilities of the plane to the utmost. In india that is TACDE. It is these specific Tactics developed in a way contributed to an Indian MiG-21 BISON taking down a Pakistani F-16, If you are going to contribute this success to that India had tested F-16 previously then you are a fool.
Countries like India which produce professional pilots and which have a varying topography seriously develop their own tactics based on the strengths, weaknesses and performances of the planes.

Those money were blood and sweat of my countrymen and women.
WELL WAS IT NOT THE PREVIOUS SAFRAN OFFER OF M-88 CORE WAS REJECTED.
Then how, this thing is still made to go on?
God save us, from you business minded people because this government has already in my eyes has performed average in defence.
Every small or big war give cold shower to us on "how important indigenous weapon are",but talks and committees are what we get.
Another "beautiful reliance on foreign maal" in terms of ATHOS.... NO NO "OH MY GOD" gun has happened.
