RBE2 was tried on Mirage 2000.... So if someone want an AESA radar on Mirage 2000 with Meteor : just ask and pay.

Russians themselves don't use capable missiles on incapable planes - this makes no sense.
Tejas will be enough with short-legged Python and Derby, it simply cannot support R-77E (not talking about R-77E-1 or Item-180) on their best.
As for ESM/ECM... Russians are world champions at ESM/ECM systems and their usage, so Russian missiles are more than OK with this in difference with US and EU ones, who even don't have capable ECM suits to test on

Did you by any remote chance read the details about the engagement? Or you are just born stupid and born to troll? Try to search and read about the details of engagement. Specially the reaction of the greek pilot after he met the Turkish colonel who was the back seat pilot in the Turkish F-16 that was shot down and after you have read it, then read this particular post of yours and then do look in the mirror,
first as i said do read the circumstances of the action, how the action took place and what happened after that. there are few articles.

And if the situation was reverese and if the F-16 pilot would have shot down the Mirage 2000 in the exact same way, .. yes it would be a mistake specially WHEN THE PILOT WHO FIRED THE MISSILE ACCEPTS THAT IT WAS A MISTAKE because he thought the Safety was engaged ..

Indians are very much attracted by the Israeli missiles be it Barak, Derby and Python.
Most of our Indian naval ships have Barak for their missile defence.

For Tejas, the IAF was always against it and the Russians asked for a high price for integrating their R-73 with Tejas (maybe supporting IAF) but then having other options they went for Derby/Python.

Python-5 offered the off-boresight capability of greater than 90 degrees as compared to 60 degrees on the R-73 . Python-5 features both Lock-on After Launch (LOAL) and Lock on before Launch (LOBL) capability when compared to R-73 which only offered LOBL capabilities

BTW since you did talk about NATO,
how many countries in NATO, how many on the Eastern side of Atlantic and how many on Western side of atlantic. NATO was formed to protect Europe from Soviet union and Warsaw Pact forces. So why is a country that is not in Europe to face the brunt of Russian onslaught becomes the leader of NATO? Simply because USA was the one who saved your bacon in WW2 and got you out of trouble in Vietnam.. that is why France OWES to USA.

Average: 103 people per sq km

USA: Population: 323,625,762 people Area: 9,833,517 km2
Average: 33 people per sq km..

Would Mirage engine be developing enough power to power RBE2 AA efficiently? If yes Maybe french should just put AESA on Mirage 2000 they might have better cost saving
