Engine business is a huge market for both at civilian ends n military. That is why Chinese are trying to be on that front but with mixed results despite huge funding and state support. But in India's case it is meager amount spending but with very little success. So we should pump in more funds in the development of high altitude testing facilities and test beds, metallurgy alike to fructify kavery engine or its successors.

In manufacturing HAL should be the lead integrator, they can outsource some parts of the engine to other company. However it is too early to say. In engine r&d they are going alone in case of HTFE.

neither HAL nor any private Indian player has expertise in jet engine manufacturing .
only organisation in India with " somewhat " expertise is Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE) under DRDO .

DRDL blades can withstand 1400 C temp .
Not good enough .
M88 can withstand 1850C. PW 119 can withstand a record temperature of 2200C .

do you know the difference between kelvin and Celsius ?

We should give Jet Engine development to Private Companies like L&T , TATA, Kalyani etc , work culture of GRSE is not promising
GRSE does not even produce jet engines , it is GTRE .

and who is stopping private Companies like L&T , TATA, Kalyani etc ( with excellent work culture ) to produce an efficient jet engine ??

only because US will not transfer the technology untill we are very close to achieve that. There are numerous examples of that. Even they blackmailed us for Jaguar engine by quoting exorbitant price. When we successfully developed Nag, they came up with the offer of Javlin. When we tested AAD, they offered PAC 3. They did not offer us the gun technology of M 77. When our Baba kalyani gun is ready and offered, I am sure that they will us GUN TOT as well to get money.
We should go for European engine only. We should not allow them to Black mail us. EJ series are best engine with a very high T/W ratio and we should go for that. We should keep developing Kaveri meanwhile.
M777 ULH is all titanium to reduce the weight that's it. We can do it too but the cost will be high here..

As far as engine is concerned I think we made a lot of mistake . For e.g. not going to RR for engine.. literally killed Jaguar upgrade . We can always create exception for the ban we have put on RR we will need their engine for hawk too infact that engine itself could have helped somewhat. RR infact offered us that.. and we are already producing it for hawk.

Apart from that USA is ahead of Europe when it comes to engine.. and cost both. What happened with Honeywell F125 engine upgrade can be linked with our own delays too.

Sometimes it happens Autocorrection , and make mistakes in a hurry . Didn't understand the part Kelvin and celcius

kelvin is the the SI base unit of thermodynamic temperature ,
Zero on the Celsius scale (0°C) is defined as the equivalent to 273.15K

that temperature of 1850 of safran M88 is expressed in kelvin , similarly
for Pratt & Whitney's F135 temperature is expressed in kelvin .

OK still my point is clear The heat inside the engine will go upto 2000C in at 1300 C the metal Starr to melt , 1400 C achived by GTRE is not good enough

Second graph is about temperature of exhaust gas from GE 404 , the NASA document published in 1986 . Exhaust gas temperature is about 1800C , Combustion chamber Temperature is more than this .

We can't settle on what achieve , we should improve , nobody is there to help us . We should develop materials and cooling techniques that can stand atleast 2300C for our future Aircrafts.

I have a doubt,I've seen many ppl compare it ge engine, then why exactly it fall short on dry/full afterburner thrust.
At max it can achieve 82KN (we don't know for how long it can abstain that thrust) which is achieved against the desired one of 90-95.
Thermal issues are still their and requirement of materials which can withstand heat. It's much more heavier than GE-404. Some people say the issue of HT creep rupture strength is solved.
