I disagree, as far as I know, the initial plan was to have 50 aircraft of each block. Any number of additional aircraft will be from block III only.

Also, having 100 Blk II doesn't make any sense, because Blk III will be ready around 2016-17, and only about 50 BlkII will have been produced by that time, so if PAF decides to go for 100 Blk II, that would mean that JF17 Blk III will enter production 4 years after it is ready. Why will anyone do that?
JFT II is already late by 1 year atleast
JFT III will have some huge modifications
means further late

100 B2 are confirmed

In post#848, you yourself said that JF17 Blk III will come around 2016-17. Tell how will you make 100 planes in 4 years, given that current rate of production is about half of it.

The source clearly says that production rate can be enhanced on demand, which means on additional orders. So far, there have been no additional orders. At current rate of production, only 50 blk II will be possible.

If Pak is not able to maintain its repayment of the cost of JF-17 blk-1, there will be no more JF-17s forget about so called blk-2.

that emergency supply is not confirmed. It was probably just a rumor. Most importantly, Blk II wasn't even ready then. If you doubt me, ask your friends on PDF.

Repayment ? PAF dont even have funds to pay the interest let alone the principle  .
and PAC Kamra can only assemble 15 JF-17 per year with the fuselage and Avionics coming directly from China and engine from Russia.

From what I heard, your PM meant something else and your media misinterpreted it. Thats why I am asking you to check back with your folks. I am not entirely sure about this either. Check back with them and post what they say.

completely funded by china

BEIJING:

Pakistan hopes to take delivery within the next six months of 50 JF-17 fighter jets manufactured jointly with China, Defence Minister Ahmad Mukhtar said on Friday during a visit to Beijing.

Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal originally quoted an unnamed high-ranking PAF spokesman, in Beijing with Gilani, as saying the jointly developed JF-17 jets would be in addition to another batch of the same aircraft that is currently being assembled in Pakistan.
JF-17 Thunders: Pakistan to get 50 Chinese jets in six months – The Express Tribune

meanwhile 50 ordered in august/october as well

yess the production might go late beyond 2015-16

I Have read this news in Weekly news paper that SLAF is going to buy JF 17s. There is no internet source yet. But I'll update the thread later. BTW SLAF plans to buy 6 JF-17s to obviously replace the older Kafir jets. In the same time SLAF plans to buy 17 Mi-17s and 2 Bell 206 helicopters according to the Defense ministry's planned project progress report for 2013.
