WITH weapons. Including around 1000+ SD-10A/B, PL-5E BVRAAM/WVRAAM deal.Pakistan has signed a deal for 250 JF-17s with China for USD 10 billion that makes the cost of JF-17 USD40million/ac. Thats huge condidering that its not even 4th Gen fighter.
Very, bad news for Pakistan indeed, we should be pissing our pants with fear..:thumb:All JF-17s will be third rate blk-1s and no blk-2 or blk-3 till they deliver on repayement. The boundary talks between India and china have reached a conclusive phase. After that Chinese will have to stop funding Pak military. This is one of the agreements in which India & China will not support each others enemies. So they will keep SCS and we will have IOR. No competition.
Those were not separate orders. Your minister was talking about the same order to the media. Also, you forget to see the bigger picture. The rate of induction of JF17 is constrained not because of the availability of aircraft, but because of inability of train pilots and ground crew quickly. Having 50 additional aircraft will only exacerbate this problem. Any airforce will be foolish to order additional 50 when they are struggling to train pilots for the current rate of production.one ordered in may 2012
and one in august/oct 2012
this is the reason PAC/CAC are developing twin seater. Those were not separate orders. Your minister was talking about the same order to the media. Also, you forget to see the bigger picture. Rafale and JF-17 Thunder to compete in Serbia.
French-made Rafale aircraft are likely to fight with the plane made "‹"‹in China, JF-17, to fight over contract Serbian Air Force fleet rejuvenation. State ex-Yugloslavia it has budgeted about 1 billion euros ($ 11.8 billion) to buy about 12 new aircraft.
"Ideally, we would need about 12-16 new aircraft to secure our airspace. One billion euros I think fairly," said an official with the Serbian Defense Ministry told Reuters on Friday (16/12/2011) local time.
In a separate occasion, Serbian Air Force Chief of Staff Brigadier General Ranko Zivak say, the Kemenhan Serbia will invite manufacturers from around the world plane to make an offer next year. Some Serb fighter who ogled among others Sukhoi Su-30 from Russia, the F-16 and F/A-18 from the U.S., Sweden's Gripen, Eurofighter Typhoon from the European consortium, the Rafale from France, and the JF-17 from China.
AU Serbia is currently living with three MiG-29 and about a dozen old MiG-21 aircraft from the Soviet Union era. Most of the ancient Serbian air force because of unkempt damaged after it got from the UN arms embargo-related involvement in the Balkan wars in the era of the 1990s. Some fleet of MiG-29 Serbian also destroyed in NATO bombing campaign in 1999.
According to the magazine Zivak Odbrana defense, fighter procurement plans will enter the final stage, this month. Serbia must decide whether to choose a product developed by NATO or remain faithful to its main ally, Russia and China.

That is not even the point. The main point is that at this moment, pakistan doesn't has the ability to train staff for 100 planes in 4-5 years. So it won't order 100 planes. We will talk about the trainer when it is ready.this is the reason PAC/CAC are developing twin seater.
JFT is essentially a new fighter and a direct jump from mirage and f-7 will take a time to train them on JFT.
bt we will manage this.with the entry of twin seater JFT
Why is Mig-29 not in the list of competitors? Without Mig-29, it could be very easy for JF17, unless it gets a good deal for Gripen.
the trainer variant is in development for the past few years and might be revealed along with the block II in the next few months.at max 6 monthsThat is not even the point. they already have 3 mig 29 as per the above reportWhy is Mig-29 not in the list of competitors? Without Mig-29, it could be very easy for JF17, unless it gets a good deal for Gripen
