Yes! you see the AK-12 style front trunnion on JVPC and OFB 5.56mm Carbine ? exact reason to what am trying to say, i.e. keeping as less 'stuff' on the barrel as possible (albeit both design still incorporates handguard locking on the iron sight post etc that is affixed on barrel but still relatively better than traditional AK with lots on stuff)...so there are very much chances that we could easily free-float barrels on JVPC and OFB 5.56mm Carbine etc with little modifications...Hope someone from ARDE//OFB side takes note of it,View attachment 107418

Also noticed both are stripped by removing pins
The JVPC is such a good design all it needs is a better handguard which is slimmer and has quad rails.View attachment 107418

Sprut light tank?No other deal is signed apart from 70k AK-103 for IAF.
heard that some generals were intrested innit maybe some secret stuff happening for the last 3 yearsThan another 3-5 years of negotiations untill Kalashnikov offers another gun.
IA has just shown some interest in Sprut tank. Nothing concrete as of now.Sprut light tank?
IA wasn‘t forced to accept a rifle without full auto and 20 rounds magazine, they specifically asked for it. M16 like inspiration for the generals at the time. Why IA standard issued insas rifles has 20 round mags and not 30 rounds. Is 20 round mag IA specified requirement, if yes then why only for insas and not for aks or tavors in IA use, if not then why IA accepted it(given that they usually set a higher level of standards for acceptance of indigenous equipment compared to imported).
Also why IA army accepted insas rifles without full auto capability. Aks has that since 50's
From Britain to Belgium to usa and now russia , good.IA wasn‘t forced to accept a rifle without full auto and 20 rounds magazine, they specifically asked for it. M16 like inspiration for the generals at the time.
Why not for other assault rifles (for lack of better terms) and can IA be questioned by legislative body (like the hearings they have in US) to fix accountability. What if IA tomorrow demand flying mbts. Are the "bloody civilians" only there to fund their whimps and fancies.IA wasn‘t forced to accept a rifle without full auto and 20 rounds magazine, they specifically asked for it. No civillians has any say when it comes to matters concerning the Civil services body, influential civillians may influence but not in a fundamental levelWhy not for other assault rifles (for lack of better terms) and can IA be questioned by legislative body (like the hearings they have in US) to fix accountability. Why "bloody civilian's" say does't have equal weightage in defence policy of this countries. Are we here to do 'ji huzuries'.
There is a Parliamentary committe on Defence. From time to time, they can call the Service cheifs for presentations. However, these are always behind closed doors and not open for public. Why not for other assault rifles (for lack of better terms) and can IA be questioned by legislative body (like the hearings they have in US) to fix accountability. And what is the objection here, we are a representative democracy afterall.Indian beaurocracy is ridiculously overpowered
Why is this aversion to public viewing, they are people's representatives afterall. Surely they are not asked to divulge operational details but policy matters should be discussed to lengths. And CAG can't fix accountability on policy. There is a Parliamentary committe on Defence. From time to time, they can call the Service cheifs for presentations. Other than that CAG has the power to audit important procurement deals and acquistions. The CAG reports are often used by opposition parties to target the government in Parliament.
However, there are no concept of American style televised hearings of military cheifs or even company CEOs in India, as of now.
Sir you asked a lot of questions in your previous posts. So now may I ask you a humble question or two?Why is this aversion to public viewing, they are people's representatives afterall. Surely they are not asked to divulge operational details but policy matters should be discussed to lengths. And CAG can't fix accountability on policy.
We should not shy away from the realisation that our democracy is a work in progress, quit slow progress specifically. And we should demand that our legislative functioning change with time.
Early m16 also had only 20 round stanag magazines.amd the SLR the army used before also had 20 rounds so that's May be why they asked for it in insasWhy is this aversion to public viewing, they are people's representatives afterall.
