Can be helpful ..

Though in times of heavy breath its difficult to focus for long time, its more like reflex shoot mostly not very accurate, The best way is supported fire positions one may take..

Kunal sir will Grip pod type system would be better specially when you are running with heavy breath and you want to aim.

Phasing Out of Insas Rifle

The INSAS rifle is planned to be replaced by the new Assault rifle. The INSAS rifle has been in use since 1994-95. Over the years, technological development has created other more superior rifles such as the Assault.

The Ministry is in the process of procuring Assault Rifles through global route with transfer of technology to Ordnance Factory Board. The Request for Proposal was issued in November, 2011. Technical evaluation of the bids is in progress.

This information was given by Defence Minister Shri AK Antony in a written reply to Shrimati Jaya Bachchan in Rajya Sabha today.

Re: New Assault Rifles for Indian Army

There is no issue modifying INSAS also, It can be modified better than ARX 160, An AR is consider best who preform best in field, here is where INSAS win..

INSAS is lot easier to maintain and clean but ARX 160 and other complex design does not preform this better in these terms..

well then let us do away with national reasons.when even US is moving on from m16 so should we with our insas.I believe ARX 160 would be good plus we can modify it easily.

Re: New Assault Rifles for Indian Army

ARX-160 so does most western rifles have more moving parts then AK design hence more time in cleaning and maintaining, INSAS takes less than 30mins and in expert hands 20 and less to clean and oil in field conditions same cannot be said about most western Rifles ..

The kind of upgrade needed for INSAS to be par with other modern Rifles takes not more then 30mins at most, Providing parts and spares and assembly..

Re: New Assault Rifles for Indian Army

Regarding Laser & Reflex Sight >>

INSAS with MARS redot Sight..

Sight is a reflex sight and it comes with its own laser designator..

-------------------------------------

INSAS 40mm UBGL >>

Operational in IA and Paramilitary forces..

insas dont have laser sight or grenade launcher
----------------
----------------

May be in between Western rifles but not INSAS..

well its time we move to we+stern systems plus bertta has been known for its reliability
