Tavor is an AK. The Tavor action is a modified Kalashnikov long stroke piston. It is inline with IWI previous AK variants small arms.

You can convert any conventional long gun into a bullpup pretty easy. Bullpup is just a stock. Nothing more. Also the first bullpup design was created in 1901. Bullpup over 100 years of failed design, IMO.

why don't we make a bullpup version of MCIWS? WOULD be more compact & handy than the conventional design

Normal Infantry does not need a bullpup gun as there is no constrains of working in confined space & the complications that comes with a bullpup design are not worth the design change also whole training procedure of entire infantry would required to be re designed compared to non bullpup design.

Changing a standard rifle to a bullpup gun is different thing & designing an actual bullpup gun is different ,there are several tool package available in market that convert a standard gun into bullpup but thats just for civilians not for military use .
