Ya'll Nibbiars The New Ram setu. Connecting Dhanushkodi in TN, India with Sri Lanka, 23 K.M long, 4+4 lane.

I don't want to deviate from the topic here, but won't such a project be harmful to the original Ram Setu? I mean, Subramaniam Swamy was trying to get it declared a heritage site. Would this not affect the sunken landmass and hurt Hindu sentiments?

Ya'll Nibbiars Other temples also set to go under redevelopment. There are 73 places associated with Bhagwan Ramchandra in India, it could be a boom for the tourism and a long lasting legacy.

Don't think they are daft enough to build it over Ram Setu.
Ya'll Nibbiars The S Bridge not follows original bridge route.

All this shows is how little India invests in urban infrastructure. The after looks 100x better than before, which looks like a typical scene in jeetland. Every day the government delays making municipal reforms, the shittier each city gets. Every city in the country should be allowed to raise debt to build uniform roads, footpaths and drainage systems along with a few recycling and garbage collection points/machines.

They need to include a railroad link - 4 tracks. 2 for freight and 2 for passenger.

there you go, the next game changer begins.
=======

All the devotees of the world always get energy from the light of Suryavanshi Lord Shri Ram.

Today, on the auspicious occasion of consecration in Ayodhya, my resolution got further strengthened that the people of India should have their own solar roof top system on the roof of their houses.

The first decision I have taken after returning from Ayodhya is that our government will launch “Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana” with the target of installing rooftop solar on 1 crore houses.

This will not only reduce the electricity bill of the poor and middle class, but will also make India self-reliant in the energy sector.

Looks like next major step is to promote Roof Top solar. Also lot of Indian Companies building their Solar cell manufacturing Vertical. Business is booming

Ya'll Nibbiars

This isn't needed to be connected by Metro when a regular train line running MEMU rakes can easily do the job . This here is a loss making project from Day 1. I smell a scam out here

Ya'll Nibbiars The VAMC aim is to create New Growth Centres not to bypass them. So the answer is a RRTS or MEU's will not have that coverage or frequency, the Station Frequency is less than 1 K.M lesser than a regular local station from Virar till JNPT Strech. The Provisions for Regular and rapid services can be there, the Operting speed would be the highest among all the metros in the world. The MMRDA chose the Metro which would actually will be a hybrid just like the Tsukuba Express to be future proof and in ordered to attract and develop new Urban Growth centres from Virar till the JNPT.

AFAIK accourding to the old plans 26 Urban Centres were planned accourding to the various studies sponsored by the World Bank, ADB and JICA.

And FYI there is already a local line opertional here from Vasai till Panvel. And this is part of Phass Two so will be started once the Expressway is completed.

Going by your logic both the Vasai Bhiwandi & Virar Panvel routes operate in a much more denser population network where we can expect even more rapid population growth , so why didn't the concerned authorities opt for a metro there.

Anyway you didn't mention the length of the metro rail . It's only 26.5 kms. The 126 kms you're referring to is the expressway.

Mehlya , kahi tari bhaltach information kadoon lavtoy ikde.

Maharashtra SG cannot trust IR baboos to do any upgrades, so they're building on their own.

Just see how IR (read CG) is delaying MUTP-3a for years (because these upgrades won't make headlines).

Ya'll Nibbiars Not 26.5 KM. but entire strech accourding to the MMRDA the strech from Virar till the Khopat is 95 K.M. which all will be developed into new Urban Growth centres. The 26.5 Metioned on that site is Meters not K.M, it's widness not the length.

Also metioned in the diagram for the NH 348 Aligment passing bewteen panvel and the JNPT. The 26.5 Meters is the median widness on which the Metro will pass.

You misread the Site that you quoted.

Clearly Metioned M, not K.M.

Ya'll Nibbiars The MVRDC is the most useless authorities and agency ever happened in this part of the India.

Ya'll Nibbiars Because this programmes are in development since last time decades and still not near the completion, even the Badlapur Uran lines was delayed by a decade. And the Khopali Panvel line still under construction and now where near Completion, the MVRDC delays the highest among all the agencies.
