So does NATO funding
Also the first picture is of a territorial defence unit from the Donbas offensive days and the other one is SBU. Apples and oranges
Its our fault we don't fund our men ..
yeah , but even then their reserve military units like tdu have undergone a complete equipment overhaul in the past few years , optics , good PCs, helmets and even ear pro's have become very common .
Can't even say the same about our frontline troops though .
Our SG isn't even close to what SBU is rn .

Doesn’t change the fact that we are spending a good amount of money and we still have a decent chunk of troops that’s looks like the 2014 one

then they have drastically improved their quality because the ones they supplied to garuds are completely different, even the batterypacks dont match.
It was their first notable foreign order thus they put in additional effort , if it was an in house one they would have shat on them .
Typical babu behavior .

Almost 20k difference between gpnvg and bel ones with almost the same quality that’s a great deal
I won't say almost , the gap between them in quality is still there .
Also there is no info about their reliability , durability and stuff .

I will still consider this a great deal comparing it with 40k gpnvg
I would too but a 20k cost difference means their must have been some cost cutting somewhere.
A 23k gpnvg is sweet but I will be dammed if they go fusssh some random night .

BEL ones were initially more focused on greater FOV (105deg>) but had average FOM. Idk about the current ones.
