beyond hopeless for this country.
Only country to actively regress its SF capabilities in the last 20 years.
where is the money going? can we file an rti on these issues? Also can we file RTI on why our SF don't have proper gear?

The first thing they will say is "do you know more than the para sf how dare you, they know more than you" bullshit.
textbook. activities from a wannabe superpower with no notable achievements in its post independence history

second they say its the " man not the equipment ".

But alas no matter how hard a man trains or how many carrots he eats he cant see in the dark , for that he would need nvgs.
Most blackpilling thing about the indian military is that having fought in a hot counterinsurgency within the last 2 decades (practically a proxy war), you’d assume they’d learn some lessons and change the method of their operations. BUT nope, the method of operations is the exact same as it was back in the day. Same search and cordon with the 6 man team entering the house and getting into gunfights, with a 70% chance of succeeding, and if they don’t succeed and suffer casualties, they retreat and blow the house down.
it’s actually pathetic how this is considered a superpower military in 2023. Theres hardly any achievements to brag of since 1947, and i’d argue that its doctrine in 1947 which saw excellent cohesion between the army and airforce, is far superior to what it is now. They learn hardly any lessons despite having the perfect parameters and opportunities within their own countries to do so. Sad state.

I rlly don’t know how paras are getting caught in the open and pinned down like they are a regular infantry patrol. The whole point of “special forces” is that they be special in nature. Owning the night, operating like ghosts, unable to be tracked, catching them surprise, etc etc. Why are paras launching patrols like they are infantrymen? This is a serious failure in leadership and it is utterly disgraceful.

where did we come from where will we go ?
Paras used to have clear cut roles. They didn’t do shit like assault militant hideouts in a basic jungle. They used to attack them in the most toughest terrains, they used to do things like covert ops, inflitrate deep across LC and eliminated several jihadi units before they could cross, etc etc
