Daily dose of reality, US and U.K. SF members of task force black (mid-00s)

All of their equipment is still significantly ahead of what any Indian SF unit is using in 2022. Main point though is looking at how ‘squared away’ these guys are-everything Has a purpose on their person. Can also trace the development of high speed gear from the days (improved LADs, high cuts because of COMTACs, improved uppers and suppressors for their rifles, battle belts, integrated knee pads etc) meanwhile Indian SF are only aping what they see these top units doing- high cuts without COMTACs makes what sense? New PCs but square cut not shooting cut? Etc)

Expanding SF battalions is only going to further dilute competencies and efforts to modernise

Let's ignore Delta for a while.
Here are some militias from Syria. Hayat Tahrir Al Shams-

Reached the limit of ten pictures so I'll just end those here.

My point is, there has been a rapid advancement in the efficiency of non state actors after 2010.

While recent purchases and some tilt towards indigenous production does show promise, at the current pace, I'm pretty sure we'll be playing catch-up with terror groups and underfunded militias later down the line if we don't get our act together.

If you feel offended on our military's kit being compared to those of terror groups, perhaps you should direct your burning passion at the ones responsible for such a mess.
Tfw you get angry at the comparisons in gear but don't get angry when your men are issued inferior kit.
:mad2:

I'm still optimistic since Indian companies are really trying their best to get contracts and somewhere down the line, higher command will cave in and hopefully the floodgates of domestic procurement will open.

OT- Do we have a thread discussing militias and terror groups tactics, techniques and procedures?

What if the special group's mandate is not similar to that of S.A.D or Delta or any force but it's more like red team , I remember hearing from major Avinash that the mandate of sg is completely different, maybe this is it?

That's what I am saying, maybe their mandate is not the same as sad or matkal but red team
Red Cell is very different from what you have said bruh, SG has been involved in training LTTE members in the initial days of Insurgency, have done Cross Border Raids and Reconnaissance missions and many more missions of such type. They are even in the Valley doing Intelligence based ops not sure about the specifics

Its a special division inside Police which worked with US special forces earlier. trained and equipped by the best.
However this is a propaganda video only and they seems to have left with very few heli and equipment now. Not all of Taliban is like them.
SOJTF-A

They switched sides once the Americans left and Joined Taliban
