Interesting how he explains that (and once again re-emphasising) how US SOCOM modernisation developed the battle belt and how it trickled down from tier 1 units to pretty much the lowly western grunt today.

Imagine if Indian SFs were given such scope instead they are always the customer and buying off the shelf. The result is they are no better equipped than the frontline infantry, scandalous.

In a real op they would prefer much more mobility , the pads would just get in the way
yes but that is not my point, there is a phrase in western SF "train how you fight" in our SF its completely different, they use kit in exercises which they never use in real operation. They put Indian flags on helmets just for joint training which makes us look amateurish.

I think they r also offering comms set or army is trying it with those pc or their own setup in order to get it standardized in entire regiment
That's highly unlikely. I can agree over the vest one but comms are impossible since they are a dedicated Mil-Spec Fabric and Apparel company rather than a communication and audio equipment. It can't happen overnight

Damn, the Philippines were entirely unmilitarised and got walked over by ISIS, within a few years they transformed the tip of their spear

India has been fighting a similar threat for how many decades and its SF looks like an African militia to this day

There are many similiar things that were developed/combat tested by tier 1 that later trickled down to tier 2 units, ANVIS 10 (aviator spec quad tube NVGs) to Ground Spec GPNVG 18s in the early 2010s. During earlier days in Afg, delta used to saw off their m4a1's front iron sight post to make room for better grip, later developed into flip up/down iron sights alongside a longer rail.

Why are these in ear types not as common as the peltor stuff? I remember peltor came up with some bone conducting ones too.
Good to see hearing protection finally.

This seems to be a Battalion level purchase if trials are in successful something similar to what we saw with 10 Para SF. Its a hunch
