Guys, Tonbo Imaging has a new 5x40mm telescopic day sight. Suitable for LMGs, MMGs and Battle rifles like the SIG 716.

Looks smaller/similar in size to the OLF Dehradun 4x telescopic sight which they’re actually marketing for the SIG 716 and OFB 7.62x51R2 rifle. Same for the Alpha Design Technologies Telescopic sight but I’m not sure of its magnification.Looks like developed for LMG magnifier requirement.

I think that’s what quite a few western armies have done with frontline infantry in the last 15 years
This is my proposed solution for the optics that should be used with the SIG 716
Yup only front line infantry require magnified optics in great numbers, the rest can do with reflex and red dot sights if they need them. Support arms needn’t require optics in great numbers but it’s better if they get some too but not for all of them.I think that’s what quite a few western armies have done with frontline infantry in the last 15 years
