Ya'll Nibbiars After seeing Taliban's Hilux's performance in Afghanistan, American special forces dumped the HUMVEES and switched to Hilux/Tacomas.

The Toyota gave 100 free Hilux/Tacomas to US Special forces on just one condition. Do not remove the TOYOTA from the tailgate.

The Americans have been using Hiluxs and Ford And LR civvies for long. Helps them blend in and conduct low vis ops. Infact in 2016 some company was awarded a contract for major uparmour/ upgrade of the vehicles .

Mahindra Emirates Vehicle Armouring has actually gained a bit of a reputation in the UAE for armouring civil vehicles especially Toyota Hilux’s and Land cruisers and other Pickups/SUVs. Probably experience gained through their venture with Israeli firm Plasan Sasa to create the Mahindra Rakshak. I’m sure they’d be willing the same for any pickup/SUV the armed forces choose if OEM agrees or any of their own offerings too.
