@AVINASH4061 are the men of 11,12 and 21 send to Kashmir and Rajasthan ? What about deployment of the rest of the Para units in NE?Or are these units deployed mostly in their own theatre of experience?I had once asked this, but u might have missed.
The SF Units are all about the theatre specialisations in the Conventional roles. If the conventional area ha the element of CI/CT then they operate in the same theatre. They don't move out to other theatres.

@AVINASH4061 sir, If I’m not wrong a good number of NSGs team leaders are from Para SF, is the knowledge gained in NSG brought back to their parent units when they return and shared with other members of the parent unit wrt to technology, techniques, drills, and equipment?
Unfortunately very little that is relevant in NSG is relevant in a SF Bn.

@AVINASH4061 sir, is procurement procedures and funds same as any other infantry battalion for PARA SF or is there some form of relaxation relatively?
We‘ve also heard several times about unit level funds being used for procurement of some extra stuff like limited quantitys of modern gear, optics etc., what rank officer controls this fund and how much is this fund?

All the procurement is central. The unit hardly has any money to buy the military gear. Doesn't matter which Unit it is in this country.

@AVINASH4061 sir, last few years we’ve seen both SF and Rashtriya Rifles have been using Level 3,3+ and 4 ballistic tactical shields, do you have any idea from your counterparts in J&K how effective it’s been and has it made a great impact in reducing casualties and injuries?
Also do you guys use them in the Northeast for Urban ops?

Sir, are you suggesting that current training is limited because our ammo maybe limited? Any idea plan to streamline this ?
I believe the Army released an RFI only for private companies to manufacture 7.62 NATO ammo either by partnering with foreign firms to set up shop in India. I believe SSS Defence partnered with a Brazillian company called CBC(2nd largest ammo maker in the world through their brazillian and European subsidiaroes) to set up a factory in Anantapur, AP. Idk the status of what eventually happened amd who else took part.

So when u guys does your training on mountains, urban warfare, seaborne ops, desert etc doing? In service training for a short period or does men in one unit gets attached to unit in another CT theatre just get exposure?
Does SF units specialises in NE ever gets deployed in Siachen

No ballistic shields in the NE. Yes the shields are good and have played vital roles wherever put in use. They are on the heavier side, thus using them to the optimum efficiency requires good amount of training.

@AVINASH4061 sir, you’ve mentioned OFB products are usually not reliable and Para SF prefers not to use them, but 2 OFB products I’ve seen PARA SF is the 40mm multi grenade launcher and the 84mm Carl Gustaff RCL. How reliable are these 2 products relative to other OFB products? How useful is the multigrenade launcher in ops?
I understand both were made by ToT, but still it’s OFBs QC.
