Yes MCX does not have an adjustable stock, what you showed is a foldable stock, adjustable stocks have buffer tubes.
dude you need to go back and learn more, buffer tubes arent meant for adjustability they are meant to house the buffer and spring system in the AR15 style weapon. The adjustability was later added. There are tons of rifles out there without buffer tubes but are adjustable.
The sig 716s we bought dont have folding stocks because the spring and buffer weight is present in the buffer tube. It does not matter if it has a magpul stock or not.

I think meant, by virtue of the buffer tube the weapon can only have adjustable stock and not folding stock

Not necessarily, there is a device called the Law folder which allows a buffer tube to fold, but you cant fire the rifle with the stock folded.

Whats the practical use of it if it can't be fired folded? in some emergency situations like engaging a sudden ambush in close quarters u might not get time to unfold the stock before firing the first couple of retaliatory shots. Also in some covert ops where concealment of weapon is required this would prove to be disastrous as u may lose at aleast a sec to unfold the weapon to make it fire, not to forget the time for cocking and changing the fire selector.
Just some thoughts from a keyboard warrior😄

@AVINASH4061 Did u get to serve in Kashmir? Or it was in NE only? Does every SF unit sends its men in turn basis to all CT areas or are they mostly operating in their theatre of specialisation only? May be sound too noob but haven't seen a gallantry citation or detail of CT op done by 9 or 10 in NE or 21/12 in Kashmir.

Its mostly meant for storage and meant to make the rifle shorter so it can be stored in smaller bags etc.
If you get into those once in a lifetime 1 sec response firefights daily then the LAW folder isnt for you.
