They do; have seen pics with LADs mostly on SIG 552 & many a times on MP5s.
Would appreciate seeing them but at the same time, have to apply @Gessler's rule here

If something is adopted in sufficient quantity to make a difference in the field, it will be seen widely enough that we don't have to speculate anything. On the other hand if something is adopted in small quantity for testing or otherwise, then its really pointless to draw any conclusions from it because if not adopted as standard equipment, it won't make any difference for the operators in the field, and is therefore of no real consequence in the big picture.

Just to stay clear. Maybe 2 pics with LAD on SIG 552 or 553 SB (i don't remember tbh) & 2-3 pics of LADs on MP-5.
I too am applying @Gessler 's Rule; can't guarantee that I'll get the pics!

I'm guessing penetration...but with an overall package that's lighter than a 7.62x51/.308. I doubt range was that much of an issue given their usual mandate, so something that offers good penetration of cover over relatively shorter distances may have been chosen. Dunno what exactly made them feel the need for this though.

Edit: For a similar overall requirement in the US, I've heard of units going with .300BLK instead.
Same with GIGN too.. In the next few years hey too will rechamber these 7.62x39s nto. 300BLK

Since these types of submersible are used to deploy from frogman, mines, etc very to close shores, ships, etc.
Stealth are their real weapon. If got caught they are totally defenceless. In today environment infrared are used to detect them.
These type of submersible can be used to deploy mines close to ships, important installation like oil , gas field, etc.
They are mostly launched from mother ship and had got a range of of 50 nautical miles

@AVINASH4061 first of all thanks for your service to the nation and as you are an ex operator, what you think is the reason you guys ( SF) do not get the best available equipment in the right number?

Even Canadian SF looks better equipped with 1/3rd of the Indian defence budget
