Nope, he wasn't in PARA... Looks like he joined regular inafantry and went for the CDO course(hence the CDO tabs in the pic). He then joined an PARAMILITARY SOF unit and got to train in Israel, then left the regular service and started full time working under IFS!

Cdo tabs were a thing in early 2000s with SF units.

I'm sure he was in some NSG unit tasked with Jungle warfare/non-urban combat since they are the ones who use army pattern camo.
