Looks like a Gripod to me.
The ones which have a collapsible bipod in the grip.

Would make sense with ACOG.

he is probably just using it as a bipod, considering he has mounted it so far forward.

Possibly.. but on a closer look, the grip has a protrusion towards the bottom.. which seemed like those collapsible bipod legs to me .
