Spot on brother !I mean the entire spec ops community is alike, they dont do this for money.
Ernest Shackleton, who led three British expeditions to the Antarctic in the 1900s, reportedly placed an
ad in a London newspaper looking for this kind of man
"Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold,
long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful.
Honor and recognition in event of success"
This is the kind that does it, and Ihave heard, based on my interactions that they dont even do it to proove themselves. They do it because they like it. I'll call them Nietzsche's Ubermensch. What do they get from this? The satisfaction of their job and let's admit it's a cool one that's why we all are so thrilled by reading about it and so forth
That depends on attitude..navy guys have the right attitude.Gear just has to come from military itself when you are their Top tier guy if Navy can do it so can you no biggie and will happen maybe later but will happen can see changes with 4,9 and 11 already
That's why I said gear has to come from military itself not from individual purchases we have fine fine man and they need better equipment I won't act like it's not happening we all have seen how Armasen PCs are becoming common and Paras are standarsing High cutsThat depends on attitude..navy guys have the right attitude.
if someone says i am soo superior already and i have the best equipment..do u expect him to buy gear from his pocket?
PM has gone for ex in Rajasthan no CCS meeting as of now and very low chances for this FY.Can u ask defence chambers regarding cabinet committee meeting which was scheduled today
Are there any chances for other clearances or the period of ccs clearances is over for this govt
I know it's off topic but still if u can
Even last time he wasn't in Delhi when he cleared amca fundsPM has gone for ex in Rajasthan no CCS meeting as of now and very low chances for this FY.
children's book oh damnTalking about SG , the first time I came across SG,SFF and E22 was in a children's book I read in my 4th standard .
It was a pretty shitty book but now thinking back Damm the book did have some stuff .
CCS has had happened before that the announcements was late that's why everyone knew thatEven last time he wasn't in Delhi when he cleared amca funds
.I said Establishment 22 not 22SF or some other jargon
Establishment 22 is for the whole of SFF
The Term comes from the First Inspector General of the SFF - General Uban who was originally from the 22 Mountain Regiment. The term was set sometime in the early 60s just after raising.
SG being part of SFF or not is irrelevant.
Agreed, also conditions should'nt be that they have to invest in their own kits, the Gov should do thatIt doesnt work that way...more pay will lead to better lifestyle no one will invest in kits and they already believe they are the best and racially superior so that wont be there
Exactly my point but not the Gov the military should gov can only give funds as they already do now and they do the same for all branches of military Navy just uses it well and now military needs to do better 4 Paras did it so can others Airforce I have no clue what they want to achieve.Agreed, also conditions should'nt be that they have to invest in their own kits, the Gov should do that
yeah the thing is Establishment 22 is what SFF was called during it's formation named after its first leader, Major General Sujan Singh Uban, a WWII veteran of the 22nd Mountain Regiment. Hence the name 22, it's called Two-Two yes but the name came from 22nd MR, Artillary. Not understanding your point. Will reiterate once more.
EST 22 is for the formation called Special Frontier Force. the Name was given in the 60s before the SG was even in the womb.
The Special Group being part of SFF or not is completely irrelevant to the above.
Correctyeah the thing is Establishment 22 is what SFF was called during it's formation named after its first leader, Major General Sujan Singh Uban, a WWII veteran of the 22nd Mountain Regiment. Hence the name 22, it's called Two-Two yes but the name came from 22nd MR, Artillary.
Since SG was a part of it, so SG and SCTU were both called 22 SF. One can argue that SCTU is a part of SG but that's irrelevant to this debate. As for the nomenclature, 4 Vikas being called 22 SF is just becuase it came under Establishment 22 or SFF, so '22 SF'
this whole clip definitely gives the same vibes from the Act of Valour movie. Similar rescue scene, with just the SWCC element missing. From the Blue Skies podcast to this, Indian Airforce definitely has the potential to do good public relations however the tactics felt a little short for me here, too much hush hush in a hurry
100% - i said the same somewhere back on the thread.this whole clip definitely gives the same vibes from the Act of Valour movie. Similar rescue scene, with just the SWCC element missing.
