I was just saying that culturally the most mature seems 1 Para SF, 10 seems well sorted like MARCOS (atleast in interviews), and 9 seems the most brawny
Just wanted to add a bit more to your comment..1 para was the first unit to go SF, that is, the unit had organised it's War Establishment kind of similiar to SAS (4 Assualt Teams -> each team with 4 Specialised troops -> Each troop with multiple 6 man squads) while 10 and 9 para were more or less a paradrop capable self sustaining commando unit. 1 was assigned with NSG equivalent mandate and had most of the SF/SOF training infrastructure.
Till date every battalion with Counter Terrorism specialization runs all black kits which has evolved over time in some battalions.
Although personally I believe 1 para should of been raised from scratch instead of converting an airborne unit into SF unit which I believe fueled the whole airborne fraternity's greed to turn whole regiment into SF.
Speaking of 10 para, they have mostly enjoyed a great officer class, even the men they select are really good although some newbies are way too cocky sometimes.
Trivia - 1 para use to run actual red cell type of operations back in the day

I mean yea young guys Achieving some big things that most people only dream of in NDA or whatever Battalion the Officers come from so I think some do get cocky and Arrogant I think with time Most of not all gets humbled some are just Special cases.

I am Courius then what made 9 basically a tier 1 unit (Some sf Operators themselves call 9 and 11 tier 1 units now ) is it the rich history that they have and successful ops?

Dude during the time of conversion, 1 Para's CO was Lt Gen Inder Singh Gill who was a member of British SOE and also operated with OSS in WW2. He got the millitary cross for his actions in Greece Operation Harling

We totally ignored the single earpiece motorola headsets. Proof that multicam makes everything look gucci lmao. Can anyone here make a multicam patka helmet on photoshop xd?
Its not about multicam,
Crye JPC are THE best in the market right now.
Combined with high-cut helmets with MC cover.
its pretty clear that everything has not been standardized yet.
For example , there are no Tavor x 95 in sight.
X95 and comtacs will get standardized eventually
.

It will take a couple of years but Navy will standarise the gear alot has already happened in 2 years and 2 more years they will be completely Standarised and same goes to atleast most para units.

Mostly were during the first phase of Op Rakshak and North East. I believe the major blunders which you are talking about was during 80s down in lanka and in 99 where most of their ops were literally what line infantry was supposed to be doing. 1 para too took a lot of casualties during IPKF effort in lanka though. 9 had the lowest casualties out of all three commando units.

In Op blue star they lost men,sri lanka too were a bleeding ground as far as i can recall they had met the worst ambush any SF unit had met .In 2006/07 1st lost 8 men in a single ambush in Kashmir.
