2.Shaytet 13 standard issue rifle is m4
3.AK's are still relevant and reliable but are not on par with modern AR platform.Usually They are heavier and less modular with worse recoil.
Countries still use ak because they are easy to maintain and cheap to manufacture.
Their is a reason most primary tier-1 SMU's use AR pattern rifle.

Yeah even garud don't fill their intended mandate rather wasting resources and objectives by guarding airbases and in name of combat experiences sending them to Kashmir is beyond foolishness bcoz that's not their role
