These guys have to be trolling at this point

Even some African militaries would blush at this

anyway, as I say- Paras are a lost cause, the IA in general is pretty hopeless.

Served in Rashtriya Rifles, qualified para jump, then qualified US para jump, did atleast 50 jumps, trained in high altitude warfare and ended up doing this

None of those courses/deployments taught professionalism? Struggle to believe a SF guy in the 90s would be doing this

this just screams clout chasing, in the West SF are referred to as the silent professionals

Not his fault for lack of professionalism.

You train him to be a rogue maverick who's supposed play above the rulebook of a typical soldier only to use him either as a personal guard or even worse to hold an umbrella and still expect him to do this with all enthusiasm!?

Sure but the very definition of professionalism is having an ethos regardless of your circumstances. Conditional codes of conduct isn’t integrity

it is beyond comprehension to use these guys with that much experience to stand behind a general giving speeches and doing peacetime tours. IA’s entire culture is so screwed just by this one illustration. Generals are no better than Netas who demanded ‘black cat’ security

And why do generals don't carry their own PPEs. Atleat carry a pistol and an ifak dude , be an asset instead of a liability

PPE - Weight, heat, discomfort, look "weak". Pistol - It's been long long time since last range session. IFAK - I fak? I fuk? What's that sheet? We don't do that here. Assets Vs Liability - We have so many years of experience, how can we be liability

This country isn't anywhere near serious.

For most countries, this would've been a transition from 1980s to 2000. For us, it was a transition from 1980s era...2008ish to 2022
If they are properly able to execute this transition properly I would forgive their past mistakes , but if they mess this up I am gonna loose all respect for them.....
