Anything under CabSec is armed to teeth and show examplary professionalism be it SPG or SG.

Will try to get my hands on as much info as i can since a close relative has worked in that org.

Let india have some secrets bro. From its mandate SG aren’t some PR commando force but out there doing some hard work. Let people speculate what they are up to

and that "vertical" grip is actually at angle, meant for hip-fire style operation mainly to provide effective gripping

No the foregrip isnt angled to be hip fired, its in that angle because the ammo box gets in the way of your support arm while shoulder firing the weapon. Hence you cant use a traditional vertical grip.

COMTACs serve 3 purposes: hearing protection, communication device and enhance hearing. In a battlefield where there are too many high decibel noises, a comtac headset dims down the unnecessary noise and enhances verbal conversations between personnel.
A helmet side rail mount is used to connect comtac sets to the helmet and also other accessories like helmet flashlights. Integrated comms in a helmet is different because integrated comms is usually single ear and doesn't have the ear protection or sound suppression and conversation enhancement capabilities.
And yeah, both are required to be hooked to a radio set and come with PTT modules for hands free operation.
