not true. Para SF does dive operations for one purpose: as an infiltration method.
MARCOS train extensively on all manner of dive operations, from ship sabotage, Gas and Oil Platform (GOPLAT) takedowns, VBSS etc. All other SF units have combat divers. However MARCOs are called combat swimmers, meaning they can insert and *infiltrate & *exfiltrate (key words) navigating (diving) underwater using multiple legs and direction changes to their target. They have better equipment for that than Para.

But hear this out, a retired MARCO told me that Army SF and MARCOS do purely military ops and he also said when I asked that "no MARCOS has ever served in SG". Again this info is confirmed and you may give your opinions on it.

CD Course was stopped in 2017, but everybody prior to that has done it

Sorry man but you need to reconsider your ‘sources’ and learn to think critically

MARCOs all start out as divers FIRST and have to pass the hardest diving school in india (clearance diving). And a significant portion of their training and ongoing currency is maritime based by nature. In what world as the Paras who largely restrict themselves to diving in lakes and rivers comparable in the water?

The lengths some will go to deify Paras isn’t surprising but that anyone lets them get away with this is.

Not getting into the specific Indian military context but in general the difference between an Army/AF etc combat diver and a NSW diver is the Army etc the water is mearly a method of infiltration while to a NSW one it's a complete operational enviroment.

* exceptions of course for countries with no dedicated naval SF unit.
