All those obsessing with plate carriers
Old pic. But again, the point remains -

para (1).JPG

As I have noticed, anybody coming up with an alternative view is hounded and disparaged, labelled a fanboy, their credibility put into question, and what not.
If someone comes up with a view of the way things are and it so happens that they're wearing rose-tinted glasses, it's on the other members who have a different, more critical view to come up and say what's wrong with that particular subject.

And let's face it, if the 'positive viewpoint' entails us either being ignorant and/or dismissive toward what we know to be facts, what exactly is that viewpoint worth? I don't know about others but I come to this forum (and to this thread in particular) to gain & share information, keep abreast of updates in deployment patterns, equipment & training of Indian SF...I don't come here to 'feel good'.

If there are members who do, then I'm sorry for being part of the 'group' that pissed in their cereal.

It wasn't this way even just a few years back around 2016-18.. but unfortunately that's the state of this thread for now.
Yes, members are getting smarter. Their sources of acquiring info & knowledge are widening, and if they see a polished turd, they'll call it a polished turd.

I didnt quote anyone in particular so chill, you don't have to take it personally.

As for calling another person's opinion a "polished turd" well, that's exactly what I was talking about. You can be civil and have a discussion rather than converting everything to a slug fest.

Yes, members are getting smarter.
I beg to differ here, thanks.

Ya'll Nibbiars Para SF Kits?.
View attachment 68943
Nope, civilian market. Top one is a Galil SAR, clockwise from that: Dunno which pistol, FN PS90 (US civilian version of P90), HK MP5 with pistol brace, some AR 15, and Micro Uzi. And a knife. Of these, the SAR and Uzi are the only ones Para SF use. NSG uses vanilla (unmodded) G17 gen 3 and MP5A5, and SPG use P90...

Oh come on, let's be honest here, it's not like a lot of discussion is encouraged on this thread in particular.

The discourse on this thread has been hijacked by a few members of a certain viewpoint, who unfortunately have just the negative points to talk about, and go on repeating it over and over.

As I have noticed, anybody coming up with an alternative view is hounded and disparaged, labelled a fanboy, their credibility put into question, and what not. Doesn't really bode well if that particular member wants to contribute something positive in the future.

It wasn't this way even just a few years back around 2016-18.. but unfortunately that's the state of this thread for now.
If you say Marcos are deployed in NE ans inside Myanamar and then you dont back it up with anything at all what do you expect to be called ecxept Fanboy?

Ditto for African involvement..which i have been shouting and saying is not black ops but blue ops aka UN ops

and thank god someone has posted a pic of 6 para in congo as i claimed.

Now when you say Marcos deployments cannot be proven coz they are secret

But

We see the news of them getting deployed to LAC and its not a secret then things dont add up.

Plus like i said..Marcos deployment in Myanamar doesn't add up..i wont repeat again why.

From this incident you are claiming to be a victim of some members of this thread.

Then i am sorry i cant help it..I as a person dont like to come here to read stories which have no logical backup my friend.

90% of sg ops are Para SF type ops which should have been Para Airborne or Ghatak ops.

In the last 12 years 3 Para SF teams have been pinned down.A total of 4 in 40 years.

More than 50% of what covers their body hasnt changed in a long time.

There is no vision for the future modernisation and no Future soldier plan.

This is the reality for debate.

This is not a porn site to feel good..we have soldiers getting matyred everyday.

Completely disagree with the SG part.

Two ops. Connect the dots.. If they could pull these off, then they are legit.

A colonel in the ISI is like a desk chief, just FYI. It isn't just some random pork army guy.

Agree with the rest.

I wasnt talking about myself, I hardly post on this thread anymore.

I made a general observation.

As far as African involvement goes , I don't think I've ever said that those are black ops.
If at all I would've spoken about SF in Africa, it would've been Airborne Africa.

As for MARCOS deployment in Arakan goes, it has happened for a particular op in the late 90's. If you're really expecting news sources on all of their ops, you'll only find disappointment there. It's a fact that MARCOS were deployed in Somalia during Op Gothic Serpent, there are some rare photos and one the guys even has a gallantry award during the time there. But, you'll hardly find any news source covering it.

Also if you say that MARCOS don't train at CIJWS, then you need to visit the officer's mess at INS Abhimanyu to see the trophies and memoir from CIJWS that are on display there.

I can point you to the source if you'd like to try and get the details from him on this particular op.

The news about SF deployment anywhere going public is also a case of whether the political dispensation approves of it or not. Prior to NDA-1 the governments have been quite reserved in that regard.

News of SF deployment on the LAC in the affected AO with China also has a certain deterrence value, if you're missing that then thats on you.

Anyway, you're only serving to prove my point here.

I am proving how things go.

I didnt say Marcos dont train in CIJWS..i said they hardly deploy there AS A TEAM to be deployed anywhere.

Unless they are John Rambo things dont go like that.

Was not SG. A number of enemies of India have been renditioned from Nepal - no military involvement - it's RAW and IB

So this was some other unit which is not so military in nature.
@COLDHEARTED AVIATOR
Well, okay... Some outfit like CIT X/J, then? Because no ISI Colonel would just come to India's backyard without security or assurance. It may have been a sting operation, but that does require a trained unit. And, that means he was kidnapped. Or eliminated, which is unlikely, unless he couldn't be kidnapped.

This job is of paramilitary background people and some military intel officer making a team.

SG is way too big of an overkill.

Secondly brother..these are ops for brains.

SG Para etc are not the best choice.
