Just is just me (and my retard opinion) but major dislike to the ill fitting cloth on the helmets. Just compare with the NSG for example. Looks like a local Tailor was asked to make these cloth condoms . lol (same like in MARCOS helmets).

Also anybody have any idea why Paras and Marcos prefer the Bulky helmets compared the to lower profile ones offered by MKU. i believe protection is equivalent. Or is this transitional.

In RedFlag 08 . Garuds successfully completed every one of their mission objectives in SEAD/DEAD and CSAR profiles

https://www.livefistdefence.com/2008/08/photos-iaf-garuds-at-red-flag-08.html

Takes 3 years for a Airman to pass selection to become operational. Dont think they learn base protection for 3 years.

Garuds have a 72 week Basic Training then 3 months of Probation / selection. Post this Air Cdos go for training to SG and SFF, Various Army Schools AND the NSG. Post this they go to PTS Agra. (all along the way they have dropouts or are cut if deemed unfit)

Post PTS they do advance courses at CIJWs, HAWS, Dive School, Army school for Demolitions etc

Newly added to curriculum is last phase of training which is being attached to an operational SF detachment.

This above takes 3 years post which if they survive they are inducted as operational Garuds.

The newest recruits are tasked with Base Security First and once operational they are rotated to Airforce Specific Special operations training(done in phases) which includes -

Communications and Combat Controlling
SEAD/DEAD with long range combat patrolling
Anti Hijack (again with NSG)
COIN from an AF perspective
CSAR
Equipment handling - SIGINT / Laser Designators / Etc
Airfield Seizures
Foreign Internal Defense
Setting up Forward Operating Air Strips / FARPs

All in all a Garud Cdo becomes experienced to take part in all spectrum ops under the Garud mandate over 5 years.

Whoa observation. He is holding the AR right handed. but his side arm is on his left side (butt back). Ambidextrous Mofo. lol Haven't seen this before.
They can fire both weapons pretty well with both hands. They are trained to do that.(my guess is that he is a soutpaw
:biggrin2:)

COBRAs are very well equipped.

The operator name is Ajit Dhariwal. I know him through Facebook and when I asked him about those helmets and the com. sets they are provided he blocked me on the pretext that my name is scary

Now, I have been observing this for quite some time. Why is it so that, at least in pictures, the CRPF CoBRA commandos seem to be better equipped than even the Para SF? Hell, the CoBRA commandos are close second (1st being Garuds) as far as badass pictures are concerned.

Could anyone kindly id the pistols? I have next to zero knowledge of pistols, having only fired the in-service Browning Hi-Power...
