In RedFlag 08 . Garuds successfully completed every one of their mission objectives in SEAD/DEAD and CSAR profiles

Takes 3 years for a Airman to pass selection to become operational. Dont think they learn base protection for 3 years.
Garuds have a 72 week Basic Training then 3 months of Probation / selection. Post this Air Cdos go for training to SG and SFF, Various Army Schools AND the NSG. Post this they go to PTS Agra. (all along the way they have dropouts or are cut if deemed unfit)
Post PTS they do advance courses at CIJWs, HAWS, Dive School, Army school for Demolitions etc
Newly added to curriculum is last phase of training which is being attached to an operational SF detachment.
This above takes 3 years post which if they survive they are inducted as operational Garuds.
The newest recruits are tasked with Base Security First and once operational they are rotated to Airforce Specific Special operations training(done in phases) which includes -
Communications and Combat Controlling
SEAD/DEAD with long range combat patrolling
Anti Hijack (again with NSG)
COIN from an AF perspective
CSAR
Equipment handling - SIGINT / Laser Designators / Etc
Airfield Seizures
Foreign Internal Defense
Setting up Forward Operating Air Strips / FARPs
All in all a Garud Cdo becomes experienced to take part in all spectrum ops under the Garud mandate over 5 years.
