Is it just me or NSG is the most successful SF unit of India :notsure:

@rkhanna what is the training process of NSG
Para SF seems to be called the most successful SF in India having participated in many conflicts like 1971 , Op.BlueStar , in Sri Lanka , Sierra Leone , Kargil and now participating in CT Ops in various terrains .

Besides this article on Bharat Rakshak gives a good insight on NSG Training Process though it is a bit old and many things might have been reformed : https://www.bharat-rakshak.com/ARMY/paramilitary/86-nsg.html

Then you should have mentioned whom are you asking. That's your fault here if you wanted the answer from a particular person :biggrin2:
I quoted the person I wanted to ask.. pretty evident that the question is directed at him.

Sniper is just a role IMO.
And therefore any rifle employed in the role qualifies for the term.
PARA(SF) have the Galatz rifles, PKMs, Negevs and whole lot of other goodies to rip the Jehadis a new a**hole.

IMHO they should come out of these DMR like galatz or Dragunov and snipe the the Pakis army Cum Jehadis from a longer distance.

A great scoop by Shatrujeet indeed.

However, I'm pretty sure this is not a FAST helmet. This is an ACH-2000/20001 High-Cut type. There's an easy way to tell the difference -

I'm in possession of a helmet of this exact same type, btw (ACH High-Cut) -

Good bhai, do you own any license weapon too ?

Why there is so much cut around ear section ? Is it trading safety with comfort and better hearing capability ?
High-cut helmets were originally designed for use by Special Operators, who use dedicated communication headsets. These headsets can't be fitted onto full-size helmets.

A side-benefit is that high-cut helmets are lighter.

Modern headset designs allow for integration onto the helmet via the accessory rails. These headsets also provide protection against shrapnel although they're not exactly bulletproof. They also help dampen the sound of gunfire/explosions...preventing the user from getting hearing problems (common issue for operators who spend a lot of time under fire).

@aditya g

No idea.I would like to know where is the secret base in the Himalayas where they are sent to train. It can either be SG base,9 para base or SF training school.

Also, what these ghost operatives do because as far as i know every base has its operators.

Bro,except SSG all SF units in South Asia including the Bangladeshi Para Commandos are successful.
SSG are good And Successful in there area of operation Please Don't generalize

There Operations in Cold war were legendary And counter terror ops against Taliban

What Ruin them is to much of there Beliefs in religious fanaticism And there racial superiority Theory
