Bro, I know a lady originally from CRPF( a relative of a relative actually) who was there in NSG. Now she is with RAF on UNPKF duty somewhere in Africa.

The gentleman Ajay Thapa served in Somalia during US operation in 1990s along with Navy Seals and most likely exchanged the badges with them as a sign of camaraderie.

SEALs don't exchange tridents...if he has one he earned it the hard way.

But it is also true that Para SF and Green Berets regularly exchange badges in joint exercises like Vajra Prahar.

Badges exchanged are never worn. 9/10 they go to the battalion mess/ display unit.

Only what is earned is worn.

I'm sorry but no, SEAL Trident's are a unit designation, they are not swapped, traded etc. You only get one if you go through BUD/S.

Badges/jump wings etc are different they are skills designations and if you jump with another unit you can get and wear their wings.

Challenge coins/unit mascots etc are just traded because guys in OPT's trade shit..
