Looks like these US mouth pieces are willing to have a few more Afghanistans and a few more 9/11s along with Islamic terrorist proliferation in Europe and US.
Just to put India in its place for not being a good boy.
We are also supposed to ignore the fact that US & Europe infact bought more gas & crude from Russia after the war.
Hypocrites. :tsk:

Classic backstabber-gora mentality. Anyone who is not caucasian & Christian is either below them, an enemy, or both. Instead of limiting India, they can choose to be a strong ally, but instead, they want to limit and control others like slaves.

Good thing we are not abandoning Russians for NATO.
Our long term strategy should be to contain both China and USA in the Indian Ocean, we’re already the 3rd largest economy in the world in terms of PPP and by the end of this decade will overtake USA’s GDP PPP. So in that sense its absoluteky necessary for us to build a strong navy and finish our potential threats as quick as possible. There’s a reason why these buggers still support paxitanis and even the chinks. Classic mlechh mentality.

"It's in the long term national interest of the US to keep the Indian Navy a "constable Navy" and prevent it from becoming a hegemon in IOR. This calls for a strong US naval presence in the IOR."
(Paraphrasing the video)
Indigenization of marine gas turbine engines seems as urgent if not more than aircraft ones.
Upcoming spv should include a marine engine as well.

More can be ordered. A lot of deals kept as bargaining chip with the US- Trump especially used to love those directly.IMRH isn't coming soon and I don't think Navy is onboard with Dhruv for its utility role.

Do we have any data on how many are required on capital ships? INS Vikky, Vikrant, Destroyers(2 each is the hangar capacity), Frigates, etc?

Dhruv and romeo are of diff class. Dhruv mostly for smaller vessels, romeos are for bigger warships. Max armament on dhruv is 2 ASW missiles + Machine gun, better suited for less contested areas.

Dhruv and Romeo fall into different categories.
The Navy needs smaller 5ton category helos for SAR, transport duties and heavier helos under NMRH for ASW, AsuW, Special ops.
The Naval Dhruv perfectly fullfills Navy's requirement under NUH because of which its import has now been banned under the current indigenization list.
Navy already has expressed interest in procuring 60 IMRH helos (41 for ASW/ASuW + 19 Special Ops) which means its no longer interested in acquiring 123 helos under NMRH.
So at best, a few additional Romeos will be procured or will be limited to the current 24 since IMRH has now been fastracked under SPV model.

IMRH won't come before 2028-30. Had read in some article that some of our capital ships may have to do without any heli, any truth to that? Or Seakings will be continued? Also, which specific ships will have NMRH/IMRH category of helis?

I thought only frigates need ASW copters since they lack sub warfare capability. Do destroyers also have a need for them??
