I feel Indian Navy should go for 200+ TEDBF atleast as many can be deployed at Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Andaman and Nicobar should be the prime hub for Indian Navy. Currently no fighter jets are deployed there and these Islands have huge strategic advantage, Also I would prefer in my opinion, Indian Airforce should purchase an additional S-400 Regiment for deployment at Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Wings need to be as big as possible to generate lift on aircraft carriers.
Naval stealth will never be as stealthy as airforce jets. There are many compromise necessary on aircraft carriers due to short runways .

Hence amca can't be navalized and hence tedbf design is chosen .

With uttam and Astra mk1 all hurdles for export to Malaysia are cleared. ( No more Israeli stuff).

CONTRACT SIGNING WITH M/S SECON, VISAKHAPATNAM FOR ACQUISITION OF EIGHT MISSILE CUM AMMUNITION BARGE FOR INDIAN NAVY


A contract for construction of Eight Missile Cum Ammunition Barges (MCA) has been concluded with M/s SECON, Visakhapatnam a MSME on 19 February 2021. Delivery of Barges is scheduled to commence from Jul 22. The Missile Cum Ammunition Barges will be inducted in Indian Navy to undertake the mission needs for embarking/ disembarking Missile, Gunnery and ASW Ammunition. The project adds another milestone to the Make in Indiainitiative of the Government of India.

Wouldn't the Burmese and Indonese panic with planes numbering their airforce near the islands.

They have no territorial dispute with India.
Infact India gifted a submarine to Burma which is probably still operated by indian crew.

Anyway our planes do not violet their territorial integrity.

They are close to western cost so they are covered from airbases on mainland itself.

They are not sinking anytime soon.

Minicoy Island airport should be available... farthest into the Arabian sea. Navy already plans to maintain a base there.

Depends on design of vessels. With modern designs it should not be a problem.

Btw we have been upgrading our ships for decades .
Ships are designed to even increase in displacement over their lifetime as more upgrades happen.

By logical time table, first of Nilgiri and Vikrant should be in service

stealthy weapon pods can be made for tedbf ,btw the diamond shaped wing design of tebdf was evaluated but not carried further and canard design was chosen above it
