They established charging standard for Indian ev bikes. And I liked Helmet mounted display and HUD. I wonder if they could researched and forayed into more refined military grade products in same category?Trying to fix something which is not broken!!
Ghanta standard! They established charging standard for Indian ev bikes. And I liked Helmet mounted display and HUD. I wonder if they could researched and forayed into more refined military grade products in same category?
You are correct. But its about establishing Business. Their primary business seems to be in Charging products and stations. Its about establishing base and building upon it. I hope instead of simply sourcing from China.. they should try to be part of supply chain.Ghanta standard!
Which of the two wheelers are using standard OS for the console on their two wheelers? Which of the two-wheeler company using HeadsUp display for Helmets?
All these things they are doing are available in open source online. Simply wasting potential in something which does not need any fixing!!
Even foreign markets aren't too involved in HUD in motorcycle helmets.Ghanta standard!

99% Chance they will import the fully built units from China only if they are able to come up with a finished product. You are correct. But its about establishing Business. Their primary business seems to be in Charging products and stations. Its about establishing base and building upon it.
I Mean there is hardly any place other than China where you can source electronics from.99% Chance they will import the fully built units from China only if they are able to come up with a finished product.
Good shit still don't like iphones but iPads are awesome they need to make those in India too

All jhumlebaazi till they actually get a foreign company to start a proper fab here.Interesting , and intelligent debate! The Indian expresses doubts/ scepticism about India's ability to become a semiconductor manufacturing hub, while the Canadian ( based in India) is optimistic. A good watch!
No foreign player will set up a fab. Stop dreaming. Just focus on getting a mature node to be built and develop the in house talent to make 28nm, 45nm and 65nm node chips. I believe 28nm node chips will be the standard in future for all chips used in user and industrial applications except for servers, PC's and smart phones. Something like ARM cortex M3 microcontroller can be made the size of your index finger nail with 65nm node. With 28nm node more transistors can be accommodated and thus more functionality. Even TSMC has asked their clients to fully transition to 28nm to make their FPGA's, ASIC's and microcontrollers. All jhumlebaazi till they actually get a foreign company to start a proper fab here.
For now we have news of SCL being upgraded + OSAT/ATMP plants coming up so that's a small step in the right direction but still we need proper fabs ,get on Malaysia level minimum, then try to reach Chinky level.
Israel’s Tower Semiconductor is seeking guidance from the Indian government on the best possible way to establish a fabrication facility in the country by the end of this financial year, people directly aware of the matter told ET.
Earlier this month, chief executive officer Russell C Ellwanger and other senior executives from the Israeli chipmaker met officials at the ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY) as well as from the India Semiconductor Mission, they added.
This marks a second attempt by the Israeli company to enter the semiconductor space in India after an earlier joint venture (JV) agreement with ISMC (International Semiconductor Consortium) to set up a chip fabrication unit with a proposed investment of $3 billion failed to fructify.
ETtech
“They (Tower Semiconductor) have apprised us of their talks with different companies in India. So far, nothing concrete has been chalked out, but they are hopeful,” said a senior MeitY official in the know.
Counted among the world’s leading manufacturers of analog semiconductor chips, Tower has earlier helped the Indian government plan the 180 nm chip plant at the Semi-Conductor Laboratory in Mohali.
“(It) is keen to set up a fabrication unit in India as it believes there could be “enough uptake” for its products,” another government official said.
In response to ET’s queries on the development, Tower Semiconductor said it does not “comment on rumours” and that since it was publicly listed, only “formal announcements made by the company” should be referred to.
The chipmaker’s planned foray through the JV with ISMC had to be aborted after Intel’s plans to acquire the Israeli company for a reported $5.4 billion failed to gain regulatory approvals.
Subsequently, Tower initiated talks with some Indian companies interested in the semiconductor space, but none have proven fruitful, the sources said. The company has now indicated that it may enter the chip fabrication market in India on its own if it does not find the right partner, according to an IT ministry official in the know of the matter.
Early mover
The Tower-ISMC JV was among the first three companies vying for incentives under the $10 billion India Semiconductor Mission, which provides a flat 50% incentive to semiconductor fabrication units, assembly, testing, marking, and packaging (ATMP) as well as for outsourced assembly and testing units (OSAT). A joint venture between Vedanta and Taiwan’s Foxconn, as well as Singapore-based IGSS Ventures were among the initial applicants for India’s ambitious incentivebacked programme.
We need reliable electric two wheelers like the IC motorcycles. Dont need so many sensors. Just make strong and long ranger electric two wheelers
